Judge Vincent Gaughan of the Chicago Cook County Criminal Court, said the 14 count indictment against the 36 year old will stand.
Judge Vincent Gaughan of the Chicago Cook County Criminal Court refused to dismiss the child pornography charges against R. Kelly, and rejecting arguments that the time of the offenses were inaccurate.
R. Kelly, now 36 years old will stand before a jury for the child pornography acts against a 14 year old girl. Prosecutors have a tape showing Kelly having sex with a girl, recorded sometime between January 1998 and November 2000. The judge found the evidence sufficient for trial.
The R&B star will now have to prepare a defense against the 14-count indictment.
Kelly, whose first name is Robert, won a Grammy for the gospel-like song "I Believe I Can Fly." He's also known for sexually charged music like "Bump N' Grind" and "Ignition."

I don't think Bump and Grind is about any one person specifically and even if it is about the girl in question for the law suit, he didn't know at the time that she was a teen. So the song is not intentionally about under-age sex.
how could someone not know someone's 14! I mean i know girls these days dress like hoochies but MAN! is it that hard to tell? If i have girls, they're going out with turtle necks and leggings every day... you know those leggings that have the strap around the foot?
hahaha

Though this is all true, apparently one of the girls on the video (the "underaged" one in question) was known to him (though she denies that it's her on the video at all).
However, at the end of the time frame the prosecution gave that the video was possibly made, the girl may have been 18 (or 17... I forget). I think a lot of the defense will concentrate on this.
And about checking ID: one of the remixes to Bump N' Grind has the lyrics "so show me some ID before I can go deep in"
