In this episode, a lady appeals to Sean's kindness to get him to perform surgery on her to make her resemble her youngself, so her Alzheimer's stricken husband would recognize her.
Sean is issued with a restraining order, and is ordered to keep away from Matt and not have any contact with him. Of course, he decides to try and confront Matt, and we (the viewers) get royally ticked off with Matt's BS.
Another carver victim is refered to McNamara/Troy, and Christian and Sean eventually agree to work on her. Though after Christian's initial meeting with the victim, he realizes she is only after attention and her wounds were self-inflicted.
Christian admits to Sean he still experiences pain as a result of the Carver's attack. Sean decides they must be phantom pains, as there is no obvious physical reason he is in pain.
After operating on the fake Carver victim, the people at Sean and Christian are smacked with a lawsuit that claims the patient was paralyzed, but completely aware of what was going on (with we, as the viewer, know is true). While meeting with the lawyer, the patient admits in front of Christian and the lawyer that her wounds were self-inflicted.
The episode ends with the Carver paying a visit to his fake victim.
