Yeppers, that's what I thought too, Sher!!! I was listening to it today, and I'm currently reading, "The Magician's Nephew" I know, I know... better late than never, right?

Well, the movie score came out today...went right after work to purchase it.
I love movie scores because they are so dramatic...and this one is not without its drama. If I listed the number of movie scores I own it would take nearly an entire page.
The song "From Western Woods to Beaversdam" didn't strike me with the same beauty as I had heard it in theatre. The snow and the snowcapped trees added alot to the ambiance of the song. I had to imagine the scene in order to get the full effect.
But overall the score was exceptional.
The added song "Wunderkind" by Alanis Morissette was awesome. And I added some of the words to my signature. The song "Winter Light" I didn't like. It was like praising the darkness and I am not into that. "Where" was good, but short.
I left out the song "Can't Take it In" by Imogen Heap. At the same time I have the Narnia score going in the living room, I've been previewing an original preproduction CD from a local band...which I do quite often...for some reason.
Anyway, the song by Imogen evokes the exact same feeling I get from "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me or "Deep Enough to Dream" by Chris Rice.
If you like those songs, you'll enjoy this one too. The feeling of heaven or how you'd imagine it...overwhelming peace, love and joy from being near your Best Friend for an eternity.
Original Score: Alexandre Desplat, "Syriana"; James Newton Howard, "King Kong"; Gustavo Santaolalla, "Brokeback Mountain"; Harry Gregson-Williams, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" ; John Williams, "Memoirs of a Geisha";
Original Song: "A Love That Will Never Grow Old" from "Brokeback Mountain"; "Christmas in Love" from "Christmas in Love"; "There's Nothing Like a Show on Broadway" from "The Producers"; "Travelin' Thru" from "Transamerica"; "Wunderkind" from "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
