Okay, so unless you are new to watching the show, you know that Sarah's mom killed her dad. Sarah has always had a rough time dealing with domestic abuse cases and now we know why. She also has a temper like her mother and, knowing that some traits are hereditary, wonders if she may have inherited what she called "the murder gene." In an episode from last season (I forget which season we are in) Sarah and Grissom worked on a case in a criminally insane prison ward and Sarah had a tough time with it. Even before that one guy tried to slit her throat she was having a tough time with it, saying it reminded her of when she would visit her mom and how the place always smelled like lies. Does anyone else think what happened to Sarah's parents in her past will continue to affect her work and her mental state? I think she'll snap eventually.

"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
