His name is Desmond. I think.

He is brand new. And until we find out more about him, or what he is,

I prefer to think of him as "Hatch-dude". Or, "dude that lives in the Hatch."

He was just introduced this episode. He was the one talking to Jack when Jack was running on the staidum stairs earlier in the show.
