Today in Charlotte about 25 gas stations were out of gas. Their last gas deliveries were on Sunday. For the stations open lines are long and gas is above $3.00 and more like $3.19.
Gas in Charlotte comes from Texas via Pipeline through LA, MS and AL. All states hit by hurricane Katrina.
Time to sart conserving folks. $5.00 a gallon by Christmas.
Keep your tank full when you find gas as there will be long lines in the coming weeks. Don't let it go below 1/2 tank. I went through this once in the '70s.
"Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those who say this are witless." ~Ayatollah Khomeini
This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not good. I can't believe that I'm seeing prices, at the pump, for like $3.39. That's what it was, yesterday. HOW are people going to be able to afford to go anywhere? I'm very fortunate that I live within 3 blocks of my work. So, if I DO drive, it's so very short. But, I can walk, and lose no gas, at all.... make a tank of gas last for a month. I'm VERY lucky. Many are not... people who have to commute, 50+ miles per day. Hard times ahead... and no relief in site.

Right now ine UK it is costing nearly £1 a litre thats aroind $1.82 if I have done the conversion right.
I am continually seeing petrol sations closed because the pumps have run dry. In the UK we buy oil and we produce a lot of oil but we are still running dry.

Petrol in the UK is £4.50 a gallon or in US money that's $8.26 a gallon.
