Meh, I was hoping that this wasn't by them. It seemed so much like them, and I was hoping that they could find some other visual effect thing that could revolutionize the movie business.
For instance, with the Matrix, it was bullet-time/camera panning. I'm wondering what else they could've done that would be revolutionary like that.
I think that we give the W. Bros. too much credit. I don't believe it was the W. Bros. who actually CAME UP with the bullet-time technique. They may have asked their tech and camera guys if a slow-mo pan with action was possible, or maybe they said they wanted that kind of effect.
In anycase, I personally feel that it's a tall order for a couple of guys to drum up totally revolutionary concepts in every movie franchise they direct. If V for Vendetta doesn't offer anything truly revolutionary in terms of camera techniques, filmatic elements, etc, as long as it's well-acted (read: Hugo Weaving), and has good action, it'll be enough for me, even if the actual story itself sucks.
