pretty cool poster post #1  quote:

though the trivia i read on imdb seems like it's off to a rough start.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/

if you're a fan of kelsey grammer, then more power to you. i am not one of those people. so i'm not looking forward to seeing him play beast. though his vocal tone and rhythm are probably suited for the part. i can't stand keanu reeves in any part but neo so... maybe this will be okay? good to see juggernaut will be there, though.

but mostly i just wanted to have the first thread in here.

Keanu Reeves? What are you talking about? He doesn't have a role in this movie, does he?

And yeah, that is a cool poster.

quote from halle berry. so does this mean the last x-men period? or just the last one for this particular set of characters? the x-men series is one of my favorites of all the new marvel movies. and they have such a huge barrel to draw from. maybe this will lead to a couple of character specific movies. maybe a wolverine only story or something.

LOL dude, i'm talking about the first time i saw keanu reeves in the matrix i was like "aw man. i can't stand keanu reeves." but now, i think he pulled it off. i don't really care for any of his other movies but in the matrix he's great. so i hope that's the way it is with kelsey grammer. i don't really like him, but i think he will probably fit just right in the role of beast.

Kelsey Grammer is great, what are you on about? He's so pretentious, it's funny! He is actually, like you said, ideal for the role of beast. At least his voice. I'm kind of hoping they don't just paint him blue though

Man, one of the things I'm looking forward to is hearing if Vinnie Jones will be able to break out of his cockney accent to play Juggernaut. Maybe not, though, seeing as how they've basically made Prof. X english anyways... In the comics, he WAS an american, right? So was Cain Marko, aka Juggernaut?

What's wrong with the trivia, Larke? You mean that it seems this movie is off to a rough start in light of what the trivia exposed?

Yeah, Prof X was American in the comics. Suppose they could get away with having Juggs with a British accent too.

I don't care if Xavier was American in the comics. Patrick Stewart is awesome.

Totally, that's why he gets a pass. In TNG, he was supposed to be French anyway.

This looks like it will be quite good, and I enjoy the addition of new characters. I also heard that one will die this time. While I don't really like this idea, I think it's an interesting plot element to actually see one of our main heroes go down. Very uncommon to see. Like alfred dying in Batman. Just doesn't happen.

kelsey grammer in nothing but blue paint. now there's a sight i didn't need in my head. of course he did have a cameo in star trek: tng so maybe he deserves more credit than i give him.

sierradaddy: normally when movies change directors and staff mid-stream it can mean a certain amount of impending doom for a flick. if the director and writer aren't in phase then it can really show up on screen. i really love these x-men flicks and want this trilogy to end well and don't want it to be a matter of "boy, i wished they had stopped at 2." kind of thing. you know?

He is a goof as Frazier, but he did a cameo on Star Trek TNG and was a ship captain, he did an ok job.

He talked to Picard for a couple of seconds. Was a captain from Kirks time period looked like and came through some star trek temporal vortex time thinga majigger, and entered Picards time flow.

I think he was in the ship the same design that Kahn fought Kirk in.

Anyhow, he was cool enough in that role, if he acts like that in X-men, it will work, if he acts like Frazier, that will suck.
