Its was anounced today that the city hosting the 2012 olympics will be London.
After 2 years of campaigns against 9 other cities for the right to hist them, London pipped the post. Beating the favourites (from the begining) Paris 54 votes to 50.
Many passed gold medel atheletes, sports persons and royal family backed the London bid. to name a few, sir regrave, David Beckham, princess royal in appearence, and both the queen and priminister Blair apearing on screen.
