This has to be my favorite show they do each year. I like it when the judges pick songs for the contestants. I also am very interested to see what Clive picks for them.
Until show time, we can talk about songs that we would pick for the three to sing.
Carrie- hmmm I can't come up with one yet.
Vonzell, they will most likely pick a Whitney song for her. Sorry but I am soooo sick of Whitney songs on AI. I'll get back on a song for her too.
Bo - I would pick "dream on" by Aerosmith for him.

The judges' selections: Carrie will be singing SHANIA TWAIN's "Man, I Feel Like a Woman," Bo will rsing the ROLLING STONES's "Satisfaction" and Vonzell sings DONNA SUMMER's "On the Radio."
Clive selected ROY ORBISON's "Cryin'" for Carrie; DIONNE WARWICK's "I'll Never Love This Way Again" for Vonzell and ELTON JOHN's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me" for Bo.

Now I don't like the song choice for Carrie by Clive or his choice for Bo. Bo doesn't have the right type of voice for that one.
Personally, I think they will be sung well by all three.
I think Bo can pull off the Elton song...but I dont know...I guess we will see. Personally I liked your choice better...Aerosmith's "Dream On" would have been great!

Very interesting choice selections. And I'm SHOCKED to find that Carrie will be singing a Shania Twain song. I guess that she's FINALLY released the rights to do so! *shrugs*

I love Roy Orbison and "Crying", and I think Carrie will nail that song!
Vonzell, IMO, choked on the first half of her Clive Davis song...
Im glad that all the judges picked up on that...well, all except for Clive Davis who only told her that she shouldnt have smiled during the song and other than that she sang it well (not in those words).
That kind of makes me a little ticked..I mean of all people, you would think that Clive would be honest with them.

I think this was MUCH better..of course she couldnt go wrong...it was her audition song. I still could have done without her shouting most of the song.

I still however agree with the person on here that said she is a tad bit too mechanical....to me its the one thing that she needs to work on if she wants to be a performer. Just to clarify, there are many people that have grea voices, but if I see someone in concert, I want them to perform as well. Not necessarily like Janet Jackson or Madonna...but there has to be some sort of a presence other than the voice.
