I thought that would get your attention. I was sitting here watching a piece on the news about the war medics. These medics go in after an attack sometimes under fire and remove and treat the injured. The medic interviewed said that they not only treat Coalition troops but Iraqi police and military who are fighting along side the coalition. Let me say that again IRAQI Police and Military fighting WITH the Coalition against the enemy.
Anyway during this interview it dawned on me that the Iraq War is over and has been over for months now. Now you may want to ask me "If the Iraq War is over then why are we still there?"
Well the answer to that is simple, it's because we are fighting a NEW War. We are not fighting the Iraqi's and haven't been fighting them for a long time. As I said Iraqi's are fighting along beside Coalition Forces.
Maybe not a NEW War but the extension of the War on Terror. A second front so to speak. The "So called insurgents" are fighters from Jordan, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Oh and some of them are from Saddam Regime.
So in my humble opinion, discussion about the IRAQ War is futile.
