Just a reminder, this is the official spoiler thread for tonights show, please post in here tonight, and not in other threads until after 9 p.m. Pacific standard time.
The plan was to vote off Stephanie....but before that could happen...
JANU QUIT!!!!! Yep! she just wanted to go...and she grabbed her torch and quit...Jeff said there wasnt a plan for something like this..but he honored it! It was an amazing episode!
I think the gals will be uniting next week..and the guys are fair game now!
I was pissed because Ian was planning on voting for Steph even though he had made an alliance...Tom was trying to stop it..but Greg and Ian and some of the gals were intent on getting rid of Steph...
Im so glad she is still in the game!!!
I was sweating it BIG TIME!!!
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

I thought I was going to have to deal with the same thing....we were supposed to have bad storms as well, but many of them went south of us...I just wanted them to not show up until after Survivor and the Apprentice were over....
My satellite has a habit of going off in storms but then finding itself again....unfortunately it always comes back on AFTER my shows are over.
Luckily, that didnt happen tonight..but I feel your pain, as I have been through that before myself!

the previews show Stephanie trying to get the girls aligned against the guys in the next show. no chance I say, because the girls would only go for this once Stephanie is eliminated.
every women out there knows that Stephanie can kick there butt in any challenge and every guy knows that Tom can kick there butt. So the obvious answer is when Tom is eligible to be kicked out it must be done same as Stephanie. I predict that if Tom does not win immunity next he will be knocked off.
Basically what I am saying is, is that for Tom or Stephanie to win they must win most if not all immunities from here on out.
Karma, you take care of it and it will take care of you.
That episode was CRAZY! And the reason why that twist occurred is because Jeff Probst pushed the issue and basically talked Janu into quitting. The strategy changed because JEFF changed it and got involved when all he's really supposed to do is issue the challenges, do little interviews, and snuff out torches. He musta broke a rule or something, but I'm glad he did it. After I learned that she beat Bobby Jon in the fire challenge, and that Bobby is the one who originally TAUGHT her, I wanted her to win the whole thing. I'm thinking that Jeff is hot for Stephanie...
If life was fair, then Survivor would be fair too. In that case, we'd see Stephanie and Tom at the end. However, since Stephanie almost went packing this week, she's basically got to win every immunity to stay in the game, because I doubt the girls will really break their original alliance and side with Stephanie. Stephanie was basically an outsider in Ulong (she was better than any of them and had way more drive to win), and she remains an outsider in Koror (no one there wants her to win, and proof of that is that they were scared of her and were prepared to vote her out this week...)
The rest of the series will be good for me only as long as Stephanie remains on the show AS A COMPETITOR, not as a jury member.

Stephanie, make it happen.
I am SO with you!!
Im hoping to see Steph stay...she is really the best player of the bunch...I mean Tom is too...but Steph has heart about it.
Yeah...Jeff basically talked Janu into quitting...but I think thats what she really wanted anyhow....she has been asking for the last two eopisdes to be voted off...
Janu did the right thing....I mean her heart wasnt in it at all.....
But I understand what you mean by Steph having to win immunity...and I also tend to agree with Beny as well...
Tom and Steph are the biggest threats of all....and people will be willing to get rid of them with no problem.
I do wonder though...will the gals stick with her or not? The only one I feel that wont for sure would be Jen...she does whatever Greg wants...
BUT..........
If the gals were smart though..they would go with her...even with her gone..the guys are much bigger threats to them than being just with Steph..they dont have a chance to ever win immunity with Tom, Greg and Ian hanging around...so if they are smart...they should think long and hard and take that alliance!
I would!
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

All I want is for Stephanie, Ian, and Tom to be in the end. I don't care what order the others go out in as long as those three are in the final three. That can't happen, though, because if Steph can win immunity or convince those lazy good-for-nothing bums that hang around camp gossiping and braiding each other's hair all day to side with her, Tom and Ian are going home first.
I really am SO sick of Katie.
I felt bad for Tom. He really didn't want to vote for Stephanie. Maybe he wasn't going to, though. We'll never know who would have voted for who. And Ian is one of my favorites, so it made me sick when he agreed to vote off Stephanie and didn't seem too sad about it. I think he said he felt a little guilty, but he didn't look like he felt guilty.

TRIBAL COUNCIL SHOCKER: JANU QUITS
In a stunning twist at Tribal Council, Janu Tornell, the 39-year-old Vegas showgirl from Las Vegas, Nevada, laid down her torch just before the vote. Sensing that the tribe was going to vote out Stephenie LaGrossa, 25-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Janu asserted that Stephenie deserved to stay on. Claiming to have gotten what she needed out of her experience on the island, Janu announced her desire to opt out of SURVIVOR: PALAU. Shortly after her shocking decision, Janu explained, “No one will ever be able to take away this most unforgettable experience. No one.”
ODD WOMAN OUT
As day 25 dawned on the Koror camp, the tribe was unified save for one. Feeling alienated, Janu had separated herself from her tribemates and had stopped working around camp. After overhearing Katie Gallagher, 29-year-old advertising executive from Merced, California, complain about her, Janu confronted her tribemate with harsh words. As Janu warned Gregg Carey, 28-year-old business consultant from Chicago, Illinois, “It’s going to turn into what it’s going to turn into because all you guys are going to turn on each other.”
REWARD CHALLENGE: WATER TOWER
As the tribe convened for the Reward Challenge, host Jeff Probst explained that the players must form two randomly chosen teams and compete in a scaffold tower-building competition. The teams must race into the water to erect a custom tower. The first team to construct their tower, climb it, retrieve a flag and race the flag back to the beach would claim the Reward of an authentic Palauan feast.
The two groups of four were Tom’s team, with Tom Westman, 41-year-old NYC firefighter from Sayville, New York, Caryn Groedel, 46-year-old civil rights attorney from Solon, Ohio, Gregg and Janu; while Ian’s team consisted of Ian Rosenberger, 23-year-old dolphin trainer from Key Largo, Florida, Katie, Stephenie and Jennifer Lyon, 32-year-old nanny from Encino, California.
As the teams raced each other with the first piece of the tower, it was evident that this would be a grueling Challenge requiring great strength and endurance. Both teams had extreme difficulty setting the first piece of the tower into place. Delegating the task worked well for Tom’s team as they took the early lead. As the exhausted castaways returned to the sea with piece after piece, Tom’s team held the lead and secured victory. Completely worn out, Tom, Caryn, Janu and Gregg were set to enjoy the Palauan feast.
PALAUAN FEAST
Arriving at an important Palauan village, Tom’s team enjoyed a warm welcome of flower leis, then a show of authentic tribal dance. Allowed into a sacred Palauan building, Tom, Caryn, Gregg and Janu enjoyed a feast of local food, which they ate in silence. As Caryn put it, “There was no talking game, strategy, planning. We left all of the game, strategy at the door.”
JANU NON GRATIS
Returning from their feast, Tom’s team regaled Ian’s team with tales of their feast. In a move of solidarity, Gregg unloaded some smuggled food for the losing team to enjoy. Tensions arose, however, when Janu, who had vomited after the feast, helped herself to a serving. Janu’s Koror tribemates disliked her more with each passing day. What they saw as her too-dramatic disposition, laziness and weird habit of collecting things irked many of Janu’s tribemates. “She doesn’t understand the game, and she never has,” complained Katie.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: LAST GASP
As Koror assembled for the Immunity Challenge, Jeff Probst explained that the Survivors would be tested in the water during a rising tide. A steel cage would be set up in the water at low tide, with the castaways huddled inside under a steel tier. With the rising tide, the Survivors must fight for air, and the last player to stay under the cage would win Immunity. Raising the stakes, Jeff Probst added that the first one out would have to endure a night alone on an unknown beach.
Just as the Challenge started, Janu complained of being cold, then immediately gave up. First out, Janu would be abandoned on her own that night. The rest of the tribe stayed strong as the tide rose around them. After Caryn, Katie, Jennifer and Stephenie dropped out, the three men of Koror were left in this test of endurance.
It came down to Ian vs. Tom, as both stalwarts went head to head in this duel of mind over matter. And with his face almost submerged, Ian held out as long as could before he pushed back, then released himself from the restraints of the steel bars, allowing Tom to retain Immunity for another Tribal Council.
ONE IS THE HAPPIEST NUMBER
Being left alone on a secluded beach was not as bad as Janu thought it would be. Happy to be away from a tribe that was alienating her, Janu worked hard to build a fire. Enjoying the solitude of her landscape, Janu danced joyously under the Palauan skies. As she put it, “Every day brings new experiences, and right now, I am probably the happiest that I have been.”
FAIRNESS VS. STRATEGY
Knowing they had to vote out one member at Tribal Council, the Koror tribe was conflicted over who it would be. The tribe felt that Janu did not deserve to stay, but viewed Stephenie as a threat. With both Stephenie and Janu clearly on the chopping block, the issue simply came down to fairness vs. strategy. “I’m just concerned about the whole eleven Tribal Councils in a row, Stephenie’s still surviving. I just feel it’s a story developing that we need to put an end to,” Gregg worried.
In the end, Janu stunned her tribemates by laying down her torch just before the vote. Janu became the eleventh castaway to leave SURVIVOR: PALAU and will serve on the Jury that ultimately decides who will hold the title of Sole Survivor.
