Survivor episode 7 airs 3/31/05 post #1  quote:

Two Survivors battle to provide for their tribe. One brings home a clam; one brings home a shark.

Sitting out a Challenge, one Survivor finds it hard to watch from the sidelines and doubts the tribe's ability to win.

A tribe member is suspicious of a potential alliance forming between two very friendly tribemates that could spoil a game plan.

During a crucial Immunity challenge, one Survivor takes over for a struggling tribemate. Will it be enough to win?

I cannot believe that they lost AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Did they not study that puzzle at all?

Hello...you'd think they would have realized that they were gonna have to re-do it again.

Coby (or whoever he is)....seemed to have done just that.

What did everyone think of vote tonight? Did you all agree? If not, why?

I think Bobby Jon should have stuck with Ibrehim. Stephanie was all too willing to vote for him. She is going to vote against him when the merge happens. Bobby Jon is going to regret bringing Stephanie. She's playing for herself and he needs to do that too.

Here's who I think is vulnerable: Tom, Bobby Jon, Ian, Janu (weak), Greg or Jennifer.

Once they merge they will get rid of the weaker, or allianced players and then the stronger ones (not necessarily in that order.)

I wished the camera man would have filmed it.

They film them 24/7 and they miss the shark attack!

I dunno, I still like Steph, cause she is purty, but she is a snake.

But she is just playing the game.

I think that they have to merge next week. I hope so.

Coby and the mean old lady chick will want to side with Bobby John and Steph to get rid of Tom and Ian I bet.

Just guessing.

That would be the smart thing to do.

And Tom was doing crunches before the shark killing.

Can you imagine?!?!?!?!?

post #7  quote:

SO LONG, ULONG? IBREHEM SENT HOME
After another crushing loss, the ill-fated Ulong tribe extended their streak of Immunity Challenge losses to the point of near extinction. Already shorthanded, the tribe found itself once again at Tribal Council, where Stephenie LaGrossa, the 25-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Bobby Jon Drinkard, the 27-year-old waiter, from Troy, Alabama, banded together to oust Ibrehem Rahman, the 27-year-old waiter from Birmingham, Alabama. After seeing his torch snuffed, Ibrehem noted, "I walk away with just a whole new respect for life, not taking things for granted, and I probably learned to appreciate bathrooms a little more."

ULONG DOWN TO THREE
The day after returning to camp from Tribal Council, where they had voted out James Miller, the 33-year-old steelworker from Mobile, Alabama, the three remaining Ulong members took stock of their dire situation. The closeness that had developed between the three was undeniable. Bobby Jon and Stephenie took the chance to steal away to discuss their alliance. As Stephenie put it, "I feel that I could trust him, and I feel we have a strong alliance."

TOM VS. JAWS
After bringing home a giant clam for his tribe, Ian Rosenberger, the 23-year-old dolphin trainer from Key Largo, Florida, was delighted to lead his Koror tribemates in a feast. Not to be outdone, Tom Westman, the 41-year-old NYC firefighter from Sayville, New York, secured his place as tribe superstar by actually slaying a shark, to the shock of his tribemates. As the tribe enjoyed grilled shark steaks, Ian joked admiringly, "It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. He keeps one-upping me."

REWARD CHALLENGE: SOS
Both tribes received Tree Mail explaining that their Reward Challenge required them to build an SOS distress signal, which would be judged from a plane flying overhead. The tribe with the best and most creative signal would receive an airdrop of supplies.

Having to sit out six members to even the Challenge, Koror chose Caryn Groedel, the 46-year-ol civil rights attorney from Solon, Ohio, Katie Gallagher, the 29-year-old advertising executive from Merced, California, and Gregg Carey, the 28-year-old business consultant from Chicago, Illinois, to participate, while all of Ulong would participate. As the tribes went to work on their SOS signals, they both chose to build words out of brush and shelter, which they would light on fire. Ulong spelled out their tribe name, while Koror went for the more comical "Got Food?"

Sitting out the competition, Koror stalwart Tom found himself nervous and out of sorts. Meanwhile, at Ulong, the whole tribe worked hard to break down their shelter to use the materials for their distress signal.

GOT SUPPLIES?
After the work was completed, a propeller plane flew overhead and host Jeff Probst deferred to a distress signal specialist who was to decide which tribe's signal was the best. The specialist tapped Koror's signal as winner because it was the most creative and was placed furthest from the trees for visibility. The members of Koror were elated to see the plane fly back over their camp and drop a crate full of supplies, which included food, wine and sewing materials. Koror had won yet again.

THE RISKY GAME OF LOVE
Having paired off long ago, Koror's Gregg and Jennifer Lyon, the 32-year-old nanny from Encino, California, found themselves alone at the water well. After Jennifer revealed that Gregg has seemed distant recently, Gregg defended himself by explaining that they need to be careful to avoid the wrath of the rest of the tribe. As Gregg surmised, "You kinda get into the context of the game, and you realize that that's your priority."

FOOD FOR ULONG
After a series of losses and days of hunger, Ulong finally got some protein when Bobby Jon emerged from the sea with a giant clam. "We got protein, we got carbs, we got everything," smiled Ibrehem.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: SEA STARS
In a Tree Mail, each tribe received a puzzle and were told to master it. When they reconvened for the Immunity Challenge, Jeff Probst explained that they would be solving a life-size version of the puzzle. The pieces were huge moveable blocks in the ocean that the Survivors must manipulate until they completed the puzzle. Two tribe members must swim in order to move the pieces, while another served as the "caller."

Koror chose Coby Archa, the 32-year-old hairstylist from Athens, Texas, as their caller, while Ulong's caller was Bobby Jon. Relaxed, Coby assiduously directed his tribemates to move their puzzle pieces, while Ulong's Bobby Jon seemed disorientated and confused.

As Koror took a wide lead, Bobby Jon threw up his arms in despair and handed over the reins to Stephenie. As Stephenie took over the job as Ulong caller, Koror slowed their progress, letting Ulong back in the game.

But it was too little too late for Ulong as Coby directed his tribemates to swim the final giant piece into place, securing Koror's streak of Immunity Challenge victories. Ulong was heading to Tribal Council once again.

BEDLAM AT ULONG
Trying to confirm their alliance, Stephenie questioned the loyalty of Bobby Jon, who couldn't guarantee whether he would vote for Ibrehem as planned. In a desperate move, Stephenie scrambled to make a pact with Ibrehem, who was equally noncommittal. Stephenie assessed the relationship between Ibrehem and Bobby Jon: "They're the same age, they're from the same state, they've got a lot in common. And I'm like the outcast."

In the end, Stephenie wasn't so alienated after all. Remaining true to his original word, Bobby Jon stuck to his alliance with Stephenie by dealing the crucial blow that sent Ibrehem home in a two to one decision. Ibrehem became was the eighth castaway voted out of SURVIVOR: PALAU.

They have got to merge, Ulong would tie every time. The only way they could get away with not merging this week is to have Koror vote on who they want gone. That would so suck.

When the tribes DO merge, do you think Ulong will be picked off right away or will Koror get rid of its more useless members? I'm hoping for the latter. I really don't like Caryn, Katie, Coby, or Janu. Coby is not a whole lot of help, but he is SO FUNNY in his separate talks to the camera! To quote Mean Girls, he's almost too gay to function. I hope they keep him as last to be picked off.

I think it will depend on if these people can keep their mouth shut.

If they hatch a plan and keep quiet, they can do it,

but if they hatch a plan, then if leaks out, that's when things get ugly.
