There was no mistaking Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's message to the world at a Las Vegas awards ceremony: "We are not together."
The pair were photographed giving each other a wide berth at US's ShoWest awards, where they were promoting their movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Brad, who has recently split from Jennifer Aniston, has been dogged by rumours that he is romancing screen beauty Angelina. But he quelled any further speculation by keeping the Tomb Raider star at a safe distance, refusing to get any closer to the actress for photographs.
He posed with his hand in his pocket, while Angelina held her arms behind her back.
Well, I think that they have good reason for this... I mean, come on.... the world scrutinizes every little thing that Hollywood does. If he had stood within a foot of her, they would be saying... "See, she broke up their marriage... they are screwing, etc...."

According to The Sun, Brad and Ange shared a hotel suite during a recent weekend trip and booked in as a married couple - renaming themselves Bryce and Jasmine for the trip. Of course, it could all be part of a publicity stunt for their new movie Mr And Mrs Smith...
They rented a suite - which admittedly is made up of several rooms - at the swanky Le Parker Meridien in Palm Springs, California, where a photo session for their new film was set to take place.
However, the couple - who booked into the £800-a-night accommodation as Mr and Mrs Pilaf - stayed on for two days after the shoot ended. They were seen hanging around the pool and sunbathing - clearly happy in each other's company, although they insist they're just good friends.
One source told the paper: "Brad and Angelina jointly rented a suite at the Meridien hotel. They tied in with a publicity shoot for the movie but they registered as a married couple. The room was paid up for the Easter weekend."

I think so They could've met anywhere in the world as privately or as publicly as they wished and they chose do it over a whole weekend in public. I think they're trying to prove a point.
Film star Brad Pitt has finally hit back at reports that he is romantically involved with Angelina Jolie, branding the latest claims 'completely untrue.'
The denial was prompted by a story in the new edition of US Weekly, which declares: "It's True!" and quotes employees of a Californian hotel who claim they saw the pair together. Speculation that the Mr and Mrs Smith co-stars were having an affair began when Pitt announced his split from wife Jennifer Aniston in January.
In a statement aired on US show Access Hollywood, the actor said: "Because these tabloids are making so much money, and yes I consider US Weekly a tabloid, they go to great lengths to corroborate their stories, whether they are true or not.
"This particular story is completely untrue." US Weekly has stood firmly by its report, claiming that 41-year-old Pitt has a history of denying stories regarding his personal life. Multiple sources both on and off-the-record confirmed Pitt and Jolie were physically affectionate in public areas of the resort where they were staying," the magazine said in a statement.
Tomb Raider star Jolie, 29, has consistently denied rumours of an affair. Their alleged romantic liaison occurred as Aniston filed for divorce from Pitt after four and a half years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."
Meanwhile, the Troy star has reportedly splashed out £4.8million on a Malibu mansion with sweeping views of the Pacific. He is believed to have agreed to leave his estranged wife the home they shared in Hollywood as part of a secret divorce settlement.

I know exactly where that is. At one time I lived less than 5 miles away from that hotel. It's nice, but it's also across the street from a car dealership.
FYI- this is the same place where Robert Downey Jr. was busted a few years back.
