American Idol 4 is now down to the final twelve contestants, and it is the men who dominate the betting, as had been expected by readaBet.com before the series began.
Favourite at 11/5 is Anwar Robinson, who so far can do no wrong in the eyes of the judges. Vying to topple the music teacher is Bo Bice and the readaBet.com selection Mario Vasque, both of whom are available at 10/3.
It is only when we get to the fourth contestant in the list that a girl appears. Listed at 5/1 is country singer, Carrie Underwood. Next in the betting is Nadia Turner at what looks a generous 9/1 after being likened to a young Tina Turner by Simon Cowell.
The others left in the competition are not considered likely winners, and it is in fact the remainder who will be the focus of our attention in a few days when hopefully the bookies price up an eviction market.

That is right! They used to have wild cards. Dang. I almost forgot. I liked the nights where they only had a piano to accompany them. It really let you hear their voice.
Anwar has been solid in the competition so far. I still am waiting for someone else to take some risks and bust out. There will be someone who will surprise us in the next few weeks, at least I hope so.
