Ok, here is the official crazy theory: Aliens are doing dna experiments that involve mixing human and animal dna. The pigs on the island are former members of the first survivors, 16 years ago. Kate is the mole.
Crazy?
Perhaps, but I have lots of proof. Read the following and then if you still want to laugh, then laugh.
1. Claire's Diary: Had that weird dream again where I can't get away from the Black Rock.
2. Sayid: the french woman said the team returning from the black rock. The people who went to the black rock got sick.
3. The spanish comic book shows:
A. An alien strapped to a table with a computer hooked up to him. The alien looks angry.
B. the polar bear
c. The ocean. In the middle of the Ocean, a glass bubble that seems humongous, like it is covering an Island or a large part of the earth. In the center of the bubble and coming out the top of it. A black rock.
4. the spanish words from the computer that the alien is hooked up too:
quote:
oh no!
el mono ests es su perfecto preferido I va a dar ds gritos.
Translation: (partial) The monkey gene therapy is its perfect one preferred I is going to give ds shouts.
ESTs is an english word:
What Are ESTs and How Are They Made?
ESTs are small pieces of DNA sequence (usually 200 to 500 nucleotides long) that are generated by sequencing either one or both ends of an expressed gene. The idea is to sequence bits of DNA that represent genes expressed in certain cells, tissues, or organs from different organisms and use these "tags" to fish a gene out of a portion of chromosomal DNA by matching base pairs. The challenge associated with identifying genes from genomic sequences varies among organisms and is dependent upon genome size as well as the presence or absence of introns, the intervening DNA sequences interrupting the protein coding sequence of a gene.

6. Kate is the mole. I have no proof of that, it's moslty a joke, but I do think she might be a mole for the aliens.
Do any of these people other than Hurley have significant family that shows true love for them, back home?
Who do we know to be basically alone?
Jack (his mom went nuts on him and never seemed to protect him from his father...)
Sayid (he didn't have anyone, did he? His story seemed to talk about the woman and his time as an Iraqi Republican Guard...)
Charlie (was strung out on drugs and basically disowned his brother when he wouldn't go back on the road)
Kate (killed her husband or lover, didn't go by her real name, and didn't seem to have any connections to anyone else...)
Locke (office pansy, wheelchair-bound, but I didn't see his episode... Was he alone?)
Sawyer (his parents are dead, and he didn't have any ties to anyone because he was a grifter)
Jin & Sun (Jin's pop loves him, but Jin had already spent a number of years away from him, and Jin's pop told him to take Sun to America and build a new life... Sun learned english, so it looks like she was about ready to move to an english-speaking country anyway...)
Michael & Walt (Walt's mom died, his step-father didn't want him, and Michael's been alone since Walt's mom ran out on him)
Boone & Shannon (Boone might have his mom, but Shannon really doesn't have anyone except Boone, and she tries to hate him...)
Claire (she's alone, about to have a baby that she didn't intend to keep)
I missed Hurley's story... Did his family become convinced that Hurley's money cursed them, or did HURLEY convince himself of that and take the plane trip to take his curse away from his family?
What else did I miss? Did I get anything wrong or leave someone or something out?
I'm asking, because generally one would think it best to abduct people who won't be missed too greatly. That keeps suspicion to a minimum, which in turn allows the abducters to do their work without the distraction of being pursued.

The only hole in the theory I see, is that fake website they have set up for hobbit boys band.
They say Charlie is missing. So people in general know the plane is missing and that their loved ones are gone.
the first episode, (or the second) the pilot told them that the rescuers were looking in the wrong place for them. 1500 miles off course or something,
so I assume the rescue mission ended a long time ago. They think the plane went in the water.
What are the odds that the plane would land on an island, and that people would survive?

Locke had his friend that called him Colonel and he also had this girl he liked (Helen?) that was like an over-the-phone companion. She called him a client and he got really angry.
Claire's mom was mentioned, but I don't think they got along too well because Claire was afraid to tell her mom about her pregnancy. She did have a friend who seemed to care about her. She was the one who took her to the seer to begin with.
Hurley's family either died or were probably very depressed at the moment (his brother). He didn't seem to have a dad, but he did have a mom who loved him. He probably lived in L.A. and was on his was back from visiting the guy in Australia, not running away. His family never accepted that he was cursed.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
Every time anyone in our family flies somewhere my aunt goes to this website and watched its progress and altitude. I wonder if anyone was watching the plane back home? Maybe not for the people who didn't have loved ones at home, but I'm sure that out of all the people on the plane, including the dead ones, there must have been at least a handful of happy people.

I dont watch this show, but this was sent to me from someone I know who thought I watched it.
I thought this would be the perfect thread for this information.
Anyhow...I dont know what it means, but I guess it will make sense to those of you who watch...hope it is interesting...cause I dont know.
So did you notice that after Hurley won his millions it was said that he owned a box company? Do you remember that Locke worked for a box company? How much you want to bet that Locke worked for Hurley's box company. I also read that the flight number of their plane that crashed was Flight #815. The last scene was very cool ... the evil numbers came from the hatch that Locke and Boone found all those weeks ago and tried to uncover (they gave up). Since the numbers are what caused the crazy French lady (Danielle Rousseau) to get stranded on the island (and eventually cased the Lost gang to get stranded as well) and the numbers are etched on that big metal thing ... then that big metal thing must have been on the island before the crazy French lady got stranded there 16 years ago. What is in that thing? The crazy guy in the asylum who gave Hurley the numbers (did we ever figure out if Hurley was a patient there as well or just visiting ... maybe worked there?) said something like "you opened Pandora's Box" ... in reference to the metal thing? Here are some interesting facts and theories surrounding the numbers from one of the Lost message boards:
4 8 15 16 23 42
Locke was paralized for 4 years
That there were 48 survivors originally (4 & 8)
The Oceanic flight number was #815 (8 & 15)
Kate's safe deposit box was #815 (8 & 15)
The copy machines that Charlie sold were model #815 (8 & 15)
Danielle Rosseau was on the island for 16 years
The lottery jackpot that Hurley won hadn't been won in 16 previous weeks
Jack & Rose sat in row 23 on the plane
The reward for Kate's capture was $23,000.00
According to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 42 is the answer to the meaning of life
42 survivors left?
Claire turns 23 years old?
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)
"You might be the toughest little whacker. . .but in my world, you're about as worrisome as a cloudy day." (Dutch Dooley)
On a sidenote, I saw Freddy vs. Jason last night, and caught Evangeline Lilly doing work as an extra in the highschool hallway scene when Laura talks about her dreams. She shows up twice, and it goes to show what can happen in a bad movie...:
1st time: Off to the left a bit, in close proximity to the main characters of the movie, right up against a locker, wearing a light green top. She still looks hot.
2nd time: During the SAME SEQUENCE (still the highschool hallway scene when Laura talks about her dreams...), in a shot from a different angle, you see some guy walking into the hallway with Evangeline Lilly under his arm. All of a sudden, she's wearing a darker top...
For her next talkshow appearance, someone needs to put that up and show the world...

Wow, a lot of stuff in there I did not know. Especially about the numbers.
This show is like the Matrix, a lot of neato little stuff put in the background that most of us don't even notice.

I will bet that the numbers have no signifigance whatsoever. The writers have put that in to keep us discussing and theorizing.
Nothing we have been shown means anything.
They will keep this junk going as long as it keeps the viewers watching.
We will not be getting the true answers until the very last episode...same as the X-Files.
My personal current insane theory is they all died in the plane crash and this is their "Hell" They are in "Hell" Their own private "Hell."
It's all a plan to keep us watching this stupid show.
