Here is where we can talk about Hurley. Well, that last episode made a lot of things to say!
There are some things that I believe and some that I don't. I believe in curses and that episode gave me the biggest of heeby jeebies. I think I actually felt my skin crawl. Those numbers, what on earth do they mean?! And the fact that nobody would accept that they were cursed! My mom thinks that that's what made the numbers cursed, that everyone denied that they were. If that's true, does that mean that the curse on Hurley and the French woman is broken now that they agreed to each other that it is cursed?
The Aussie man heard the numbers sixteen years ago, the French woman's signal has been playing for sixteen years.
Hurley was in control of a box company, Locke worked for a box company.
Please write anything you are thinking about this episode, or later ones about Hurley.
"Man is a marvelous curiosity ... he thinks he is the Creator's pet ... he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." Mark Twain
He wasn't IN it, he was visiting it. He went to talk to the guy that he got the numbers from, who happened to be insane. I wouldn't trust numbers from a crazy guy, personally.

Pippin said this in post #3 : He wasn't IN it, he was visiting it. He went to talk to the guy that he got the numbers from, who happened to be insane. I wouldn't trust numbers from a crazy guy, personally.
Yeah but...Maybe he was crazy because he was at one point on the island...or the numbers did it to him?
It's not like we will ever find out though, no doubt with this show.
Was it just me...Or at the end of the show did anyone else hear monkies in that box?
May the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

You know...I want to know why someone was repeating those numbers on the transmission over and over. Were they deliberately trying to get someone to use them or something? And who were these people, what were they trying to do?

Which was creepier?: The crazy guy repeating the numbers over and over, or when he started talking about the numbers and sounding not crazy all of a sudden? I vote when he suddenly started speaking normally. I wonder what he used the numbers for?

Didn't the spanish we translated have something to do with monkies?
I'm gonna start a new thread, called Whiddens insane theory thread.
So I can get my crazy theories where I can find them quickly.
Great, I am not the only one that heard them then. I had forgotten about the thing with the monkies being mentioned in spanish. This thing with the monkies better be good....if of course we are right about what we heard.

Grrr. I only missed one episode, yet I also missed the Spanish part. That is it. From now on when Lost is on, I answer no questions in my house. Nope. They want something, they can wait until the commerical break.
