The teams meet with popular music artists to help raise money for charity; one candidate tries to act a little too hip while another becomes star-struck.
Looks like Trump will make his first Corporate Reorganization and shuffle the two teams around. This will have an important affect on how the remaining Apprentices survive or fall in the mid rounds.
Trump might get John the strongest member from Net Worth to go over to line up with Erin and Stephanie by episode #8.
I only saw the last ten minutes of the show, but I thought the other guy who was in the bottom three should have been fired. He got really angry and should have held his temper in check. You don't need a guy like that running a company.
When Trump compliments an Apprentice in the boardroom, he's just setting him/her for firing in upcoming episodes. What he's saying simply is: "S/he's not due for firing that particularly episode." You can count down on your fingers.
Everyone KNEW Alex became a DETRACTOR and should have been fired, making Net Worth lose. But instead, Chris was blamed for doing his job as the project manager in addressing work problems. Chris told Alex a couple of times for screwing around during the Domino Pizza competition. Trump told Chris, "You're very rough around the edges... but I'm like that too.... getting mad and cuzzing sometimes but for a good reason."
(Alex lights Chris fuse taking time off picking up NYU chicks and taunting a busy project manager at work.)
Back at Net Worth's mobile pizza parlor, things were getting hot. Chris was frustrated when Alex was talking with one of the team's models and not picking up the ringing phone. (LOST SALES/REVENUE accounted for perhaps more than $100 difference between winning and losing to Magna - Alex should have been fired for dragging team to a defeat.) Chris yelled at Alex and Alex told Chris not to yell at him again. Chris was incredulous. "Are you serious?", he asked. Chris had had enough and told Alex twice, "Get the fXXK out of my face." In an interview, Alex said that Chris had physically threatened him.
Chris confided in Angie that he had kicked his tobacco chewing habit, just as he had promised Trump. But now, instead of a jaw full of tobacco, Chris was chewing on a jaw full of sunflower seeds. Angie was concerned about Chris quitting cold turkey and suggested he think about tapering off by using nicotine gum. Chris shot down the idea, but admitted that he might be a little short with people for a while. Angie said, "You're short on a good day" - and Chris confessed that the charge was true.
In the suite, Chris confronted Alex when he heard that Alex was saying that Chris had threatened him. Chris told Alex that he never threatened him - and to say so was being dishonest. But Alex told Chris that when Chris said, "Get the fXXK out of my face", Alex took that to mean Chris was close to getting into a physical fight with him. Chris said that he was not threatening Alex and was not going to fight him. In an interview, Chris said he once thought of Alex as a friend, but now he knew that Alex was deceitful and couldn't be trusted.
Chris said he was needed on the production end of things. He said that you had to have a successful TV segment or there would be no bids. And, Chris added, he trusted John to handle the negotiations.
It bothered George that Chris delegated the negotiations. George felt Chris should have been there.... George challenged Chris by asking him if he avoided the negotiations to stay out of the line of fire if his team lost.
After Magna won the FUSE auction task, Net Worth project manager Chris pleads his case to Mr. Trump. But you can see from above pictures that Angie made deals with either side of her so that she won't get nominated to the boardroom. Angie had both in her back pockets. She backed Chris and he to her. Therefore John was totally at risk and he got the ax.
Chris forcefully stated that he was the best negotiator at the table. But then Carolyn asked why Chris didn't go out and negotiate. Chris repeated his belief that John could handle working with the artists and that he needed to oversee the critical production end of the task. Chris was so forceful that George told him not to raise his voice at him. Chris apologized and ratcheted it down. All three candidates did agree on one thing: Chris could not have done both the negotiating and the producing. Trump told Chris that he was very disappointed in certain things that he had done. But Trump turned to John and said that he really let Trump down by doing such a terrible job negotiating. "John," he said, "you're fired."
