Ewan McGregor has employed an unusual method for promoting his upcoming movie. The Scottish actor has clearly decided the best way to big up the next and final Star Wars film is to slate the previous one. He's just revealed to Total Film magazine that he thought parts of Star Wars - Episode II: Attack Of The Clones were below standard.
"The fighting in Episode II was unsatisfactory, I think," he admitted. "I don't think the fight was nearly as good as it should have been and I certainly didn't have as big a crack of the whip as in the first one."
But that first film, Episode I: The Phantom Menace, didn't escape his criticisms after its release in 1999. Back then, Ewan described the George Lucas film as "disappointing" and "flat".
However, the 33-year-old, who plays Obi-Wan Kenobi in the movies, does admit that he's much happier with the third and final film, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. "I made up for it in number three. We fight our a**ses off in that film," he concludes.
