Season 7 Teams Revealed - 8 & 9 In the Works post #1  quote:

TAR7 Teams Revealed, TAR8 & 9 Scheduled

With The Amazing 6 barely in the books, CBS has already unveiled the new teams for The Amazing Race 7. Here is the rundown (pics courtesy of the CBS TAR7 Home Page)

Brian & Greg - 27/24 - Actor-Bartender/Bouncer - "Brothers" - Santa Monica, CA

Lynn & Alex - 30/22 - Executive Assistants - "Boyfriends" - West Hollywood, CA

Debbie & Bianca - 25/26 - Photographer/High School Teacher - "Life Long Friends" Woodbridge, VA

Megan & Heidi - 26/31 - Fashion Designer/Mom - "Roommates" - Oak Park, CA

Meredith & Gretchen - 69/66 - Retired Executive/Retired Flight Attendant & RN - "Grandparents" - Easton, MD - All-time oldest team on TAR.

Ray & Deana - 44/27 - Stockbroker/Marketing - "Dating On & Off" - Youngstown, OH

Rob & Amber - 29/26 - Professional Reality Stars - "Engaged" - Canton, MA & Beaver, PA

Ron & Kelly - 28/26 - Former Iraq War POW/Legislative Correspondent - "Dating" - Villa Rica, GA & Greenville, NC - Kelly is also a former Miss SC beauty pageant queen

Ryan & Chuck - 31/32 - General Contractor/Sales - "Best Friends" - Landrum & Inman, SC

Susan & Patrick - 54/26 - Director of Judicial Affairs/Writer - "Mother/Son" - Hamilton, OH - First ever mother/son team, Patrick is a "gay writer in Hollywood who seeks her acceptance."

Uchenna & Joyce - 40/44 - Energy Broker/Sales Manager - "Married" - Houston, TX

Even more good news, especially for us long-time TAR fanatics who always worried about the show's future, The Amazing Race 8 is already in the works... with a twist. It will consist of fewer, but larger 4-member teams of relatives. The teams will not necessarily be just a set of parents and two kids...but could be a mix of siblings, generations, or future in-laws (kids must be 12 or older). This edition will film over the summer and air in the fall. In my opinion, this is a great way to shake-up the franchise.

The Amazing Race 9 also appears to be greenlighted and scheduled to air early 2006.

I don't think it's a good idea to involve kids in these shows. Maybe from 16 upwards, but 12? Seems a bit too young for me.

The guys from "Deliverance" crack me up. They need subtitles most of the time.
