Mild episode spoilers: 2/9 - rest of season post #1  quote:

From www.aint-it-cool.com

SPOILER SPACE...

"Those ABC promos are going on and on about somebody getting all killed on “Lost” tonight, but here’s the real scoop:

TWO die tonight! “And one of the deaths,” we are told by a highly reliable source, “is pretty frigging wicked.”
But none of the regulars die tonight.

We hear that one of the deaths belongs to Steve (of “Steve & Scott” fame). The other death is unspecified, but were I a betting man I’d bet on Claire’s kidnapper, Ethan Rom.
Because Ethan Rom, the other man, knows too much. And because he knows too much, the creators want him dead.
How the rest of the season shakes out:

Episode 15: Homecoming
Feb. 9 (Tonight)
Written by: Damon Lindelof (“Pilot,” “Tabula Rasa,” “Confidence Man,” “Whatever the Case May Be”)
Centered around: Charlie
We learn why Ethan wanted Claire’s baby.

Episode 16: Outlaws
Feb. 16
Written by: Drew Goddard (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Alias”)
Centered around: Sawyer
We learn of Sawyer’s connection with Jack’s dad.

Episode 17: … In Translation
Feb. 23
Written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach (“House of the Rising Sun,” “Hearts and Minds”) and Leonard Dick ("Fastlane," "Hack," "Tarzan," "Clubhouse").
Centered around: Jin
Sun comes out of the closet.

Episode 18: Numbers
March 2
Written by: David Fury (“Walkabout,” “Solitary,” “Special”) & Brent Fletcher (“Angel”) & Leonard Dick ( “… In Translation”).
Centered around: Hurley
We learn Hurley hit the lottery.

Episode 19: Deus Ex Machina
April 13
Written by: Damon Lindelof (“Homecoming”) and Carlton Cuse (“Hearts and Minds”)
Centered around: Locke

Episode 20: Do No Harm
April 20
Written by: Janet Tamaro (“Line of Fire,” “CSI: New York”)
Centered around: Jack

Episode 21: Sides
April 27
Written by: Leonard Dick (“Numbers”)
Centered around: Sayid

Episode 22
Centered around: Kate
But 22 doesn’t represent season’s end. Cause we confirmed today there are 24 episodes to this supersized first season. "

It's coming accross to me that each of the main characters in "Lost" were somehow lured onto the plane that crashed.

There are plans by some group of ??? for each of them.

Claire's baby was wanted badly enough to kill to get it?

I think this is the main thesis of the plot.

We need to speculate about who is the "Group" and its purpose.

I think you're onto something there beck...I think that Claire's baby has alot to do with the main plot. I just wish we could get some kind of spoiler as to what the 'monster' actually is.

May the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.

Remember when the "Seer" played Claire about her baby adoption..cancelled it and got her on the plane?

That fits well with my theory.

yea the psychic dude was a real give away that there was somthing strange about the baby. isn't it weird that he was almost frantic about raiseing her baby, then put her on a plane to meet a couple that wanted to adopt her baby and the plane just happened to crash almost making it almost impossible for someone else to raise her baby?

So, does that possibly mean that all of the people there (or most of them...) may also have similar abilities? How is it that Locke is able to walk? Why was the monster so easily able to tear up the pilot, but couldn't chase down the other three? Did the pilot not fit the proper "profile"?

The monster gives them visons right?

Locke and Boone both saw the monster and were given visions. Now they act spooky and wierd.

Maybe the pilot failed his vision, or was too hurt for their purpose, or

shoot, I dunno.

It's some crazy stuff, I'd like to get some answers this season.

Here ya go post #15  quote:

If the writers of this show would let us know what is really going on, then we would not be so eager to see the next episode.

So long as we're kept in the dark, more or less, the more our curiosity will be kept aflame.

They want to keep the viewers lost in "LOST."

In the show "24" , we know what's going on, but we never know what's going to occur next..so that show keeps our attention riveted.
