Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt an orphan affected by the South East Asian Tsunami on Boxing Day.
Angelina already has a three-year-old adopted son, Cambodian Maddox and now tells Celebrity Justice that she wants to form a collection, or as she puts it, "a rainbow of children from across the globe."
Speaking on the show she explained "I will be looking into orphans that have just lost their parents. So we'll see how big my family grows over time. I prefer to adopt. With every adoption I save a further child from the orphanage."
I agree with the charities on this issue. I don't think it is going to be beneficial for these Tsunami kids to be taken away from their homes and their cultures and everything when they have already lost so much.
Obviously Angelina Jolie isn't your normal every day person who wants to adopt a Tsunami orphan, but these kids really are better off staying in their communities with their extended familes and trying to rebuild a life for all the Asian communities that have been effected.
She sounds like Michael Jackson... he wanted a rainbow of children from around the world too, but I think that's ridiculous. No problem with multi-culturality, but when it because like an image, that's just too far.

Uh huh. I am pretty sure there are American kids who are living pretty horible lives and need adopting, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Calista Flockhart, they adopted American kids. It doesn't have to be about publicity and making it seem as though you're saving a whole country by adopting one child.
Although ... Maddox is from Cambodia and Angelina really does do a lot of work in Cambodia, so that adoption does makes sense.

Jolie recently adopted an orphaned Ethiopian girl, Zahara, as a sister to her Cambodian son Maddox, British news reports said.
Jolie's adoption adviser Ron Federici said: "I know Angelina was looking in Russia for a baby, and I wouldn't be surprised if she adopts another one. She just wants to do what is right for these kids. You don't have to be rich to adopt from Africa, and you can really save a life."
Angelina Jolie is ready to adopt again -- just three months after taking legal custody of her daughter, Zahara.
In 2002, the sexy actress traveled to Cambodia, where she adopted her son Maddox, now 4, and over the summer, Jolie made her way to Ethiopia, where she became a mother to 9-month-old Zahara.
Since attending the first annual Worldwide Orphans Foundation benefit in New York City on Monday, Jolie is looking into adopting another child.
She tells People magazine, "Most of the night I just thought about how quickly I want to adopt again. It's a very special thing. There's something about making a choice, waking up and traveling somewhere and finding your family.
"There are so many wonderful places. There are many parts of Asia, Africa, South America, so sooner or later I'll end up everywhere, I'm sure."
Jolie also has announced plans to help build a pediatric AIDS center in Ethiopia, after witnessing the plight of orphans there when she adopted her daughter.
She says, "I personally am not willing to wait any longer for action by the United States or any government while children are suffering and dying. I know some of the kids that were next to my daughter (at the orphanage); two of them passed away, with symptoms very similar to hers.
"I really do believe that if I didn't get her out at that time, that she wouldn't be here. She was days away (from death)."
