Ever watched Eddy Murphy in the Hollywood Movie: Trading Places? Mortimar bet $1 that people who are street smart if put in a competitive environment will make great workers in the business world. It proved that big city slicks are the fittest survivers in the "dog eat dog corporate world." Make your picks of those who lived and worked in a competitive background.
The opening comments of Apprentice 3, Episode #1 from Donald Trump: "You all are very talented and very smart. For the next 16 weeks, you are going to be living hell, no one is going to get much sleep."
quote:
Alright, let's get started. You are standing in the top of Trump Towers. You are in New York City. The fastest pace place anywhere on the earth.
Everything here is done quickly. And like me, New Yorkers don't like to waste time. Because time is money. That's why fast food, especially here is such a big business. Burger King blah, blah, blah.... (advertising BK.. 11,000 restaurants in 61 countries selling 2 1/2 billion hamburgers each year.... in the process of adding 6 new burgers to their menue.)
Each team will take over a Burger King restaurant and launch one of these items. You have to pick your item, name it, market it and manage the restaurant
The team which earns the most revenue from selling the new product win. And for this task like all others, George and Carolyn will be my eyes and ears.
How do you think you will do against them, the high schoolers with all that education?
Erin of Book Smarts said: "Blow them out of the water."
Well, would you be embarassed if the high schoolers kicked your @ss?
Verna from the Books Smart said: I will be embarassed if anyone kicked my butt.
That's a good answer. But if you lose, you'll meet me in the boardroom where someone will be fired. Good luck.
These two female Apprentices are both from Blue States and will go much further than the others who lived a slow-paced life and work. Expect them to survive into the final eight, but I still think Kristen will be in the final two finalists.
The Red/Blue Theory is part and integral to validating my corporate methodology on forecasting the Apprentice winner. It's grounded on a rational basis that the detected long pattern of statistical bias from the former two seasons will repeat itself in the third Apprentice season. It's a business theory that workers who work in higher competitive environment will likely be more seasoned and experienced to perform better than those who worked in a less competitive work environment.Blue States are much faster pace, and Red States are generally much slower pace. There is higher probability that those who played in the major leagues will shine as the Most Valuable Player over those who played in the minor league.
Erin a major leaguer is safe this week, because Trump doesn't fire a female in the first two weeks. Last week, she had a difficult time handling the register at point of sale.
Erin seemed to have some trouble operating the cash register. Verna speculated that Erin had never been to a fast food restaurant, let alone had any experience in how to take fast food orders.
HECK said this in post #5 : Erin? She started crying in the first episode. She'll either stay under the radar and sneak past the halfway mark, or be exposed early and get booted.
And Ken, you're still with the Red/Blue state thing?
-HECK!
If Erin was doing her freak out routine with Todd last week only after being on the show for a day or so, thats bad. She looks like shes emotionally weak and might crack.
It's kind of pointless to make picks this soon, though, don't you think? We have really NO idea who is REALLY going to be the best leaders in this group.
Its a coin toss for me. So far.. Ive been impressed by John and Michael. We'll ahve to see.....Craig to me anyways has been hiding in the wallpaper up until the last 3 minutes of the second episode. Well have to see.
I do agree with you kevin.......making picks now is pointless. Half way through maybe but now...? nope.

What do you guys care if Ken decides to make his picks based on red or blue states? He's free to make his prediction anyway he chooses.
I like John as a winner potenial, and this is why I really liked him today. Even though he had an exemption, and I have seen exempted players in the past seem to slack off (even Kelly a little), but he busted his butt and really wanted his team to win I thought. He tried to be a good mediator, too.
Was Kristin the one who was the accountant for Net Worth? She's abrasive, but I think she may have what it takes to be in the finals.
Winner: John
Runner-up: Kristen
P.S. I have no idea if these guys are from red or blue states!
P.P.S. Miss Goodie Two Shoes thinks ALL of these men and women on Net Worth have foul mouths, and had better listen to Carolyn's advice not to use it in the boardroom.
I think Kristen will--and SHOULD--suffer the fate of other loudmouths like Omarosa, Heidi, and Chris (season 2). If she doesn't learn to get along with her team, she won't be long for the game.
