The 'Titanic' star, who divorced first husband Jim Threapleton in 2001, confessed she was shocked when she heard that the couple had decided to end their four-year marriage and said she sympathised with them.
She said: "I'm devastated. They were it. The hardest thing to deal with in life is divorce."
'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher also says she was devastated with the news.
The twice-divorced TV babe claims the reports made her lose faith in marriage because she believed Brad and Jennifer were the perfect couple.
She said: "I was sad when I heard because if they can't make it work, who can?"

“Any marriage is tough,” she said. “You go through struggles and it’s work. You have to make it happen.I think they probably issued a statement because they thought they owed it to their fans,” AP reported Simpson’s admiration for the way Pitt and Aniston dealt with their breakup. “There are people who are fans of them together, and it’s good to hear from the person and not believe the lies.”
In November, Simpson, whose two-year-marriage has been surrounded by media speculation and gossiping, denied rumors about her rocky relationships with Lachey. “Our relationship is better than it’s ever been. We are absolutely not breaking up,” she told People magazine.

Rapper 50 CENT has gone public with his feelings for JENNIFER ANISTON - now she's a single woman.
On new track GOOD TO ME, 50 lists his favourite women and has a special message for the former FRIENDS star, who split from husband BRAD PITT last month (JAN04).
After listing PARIS HILTON, TYRA BANKS and ANGELINA JOLIE among his favourite girls, the rapper states, "Jennifer Aniston, oohhoo, I'm so glad you broke up, baby."
That doesn't quite make sense. They only broke up three weeks ago and I would assume that he had all his songs for the new album written long before that.
Did he change the song after they broke up or was he pyschic?
