Admiral William Adama Commander Adama in season one. Promoted to Admiral in season two. Commanded the older Battlestar Galactica, which was about to be retired from service, when the Cylons attacked. It's older system, which was designed with computers that were NOT on a network, helped the Galactica to survive the Cylon attack. Adama is the father figure of the series, and often has conflicts with the civilian led government.
Admiral Cain Leader of the Pegasus, and at the time, Commander Adama's superior, she showed up with the sister Battlestar of the Galactica. Under her command, the crew was into torture, and brutality. Torturing a #6 they had on board, and attempting to torture the Preggers Boomer Cylon #8. She had clash's with Adama, made several bogus decisions, was going to assasinate Adama, but in the end, she was killed by the freed #6 Cylon model whom she had tortured.
Laura Roslin President of the 12 Colonies for season one, and most of season two. She was a school teacher who had some position of power in the Colonies, similar to Secretary of Education. Wound up being the next in line for the Presidency after the Clyons took out the Colonies. Headstrong, no nonsense, and lovable, she had several clash's with Adama at first, some very bad ones. But made peace with him in the end. Had bad cancer and was supposed to die, but was cured of it by the Cylon/Human babies blood, which had Dues Ex Machina antibodies in it.
Lost the election to Baltar in the season two finale.
Commander Lee Adama, aka APOLLO
Son of Adama. Nepotism in action! Captain for all of season one. Got promoted to Commander of the Pegasus, after Cains death, by his DADDY. Starbucks buddy, he is a good pilot, and is involved in many storylines, as he is a main character.
Dr. Gaius Baltar or President Baltar
Dr. who lived on Caprica, and was having sex with the #6 Cylon model. Because of him and his stupidity, she gained access to the mainframe and the Cylons rolled in with no opposition. She shielded him from the nuclear blast that took out his house, and ever since he has images or visions of her in his head that speak to him and help him on his course. An incredibly quirky acting fellow, very eccentric, but nonetheless very intelligent. Was given a nuke to help make a Cylon identifier. Gave it to a #6 model later and it was used to blow up part of the fleet.
Became Vice President of the Colonies. Has taken part in many storylines, as he is a main character. At the end of Season Two, won the presidency in an election against' Roslin, and made the decision to stay on a planet they had found, to disastrous results. Surrendered to the Cylons for all of humanity.
Captain Kara Thrace, aka STARBUCK Became C.A.G. in season two.
Out of control hotdog. Her storyline is too complicated and convoluted to explain, as she is a main player and has storyline every week. She is into alcohol, gambling, flying rough, sleeping with various males, she found a true love on Caprica and managed to rescue him. In the season two finale, wound up married to him on the planet they found.
Lt. Karl Agathon, aka HELO
Helo gave up his seat on a transport, to Dr. Baltar if I remember right. Wound up wandering the planet and hooked up with a Boomer model, whom he thought had left on the ship. Fell in love with her, knocked her up, found out she was a Cylon and didn't really care too much once the initial shock wore off. Got his Boomer back to the Galactica, was part of a rescue attempt for his pregger Boomer on the Pegasus. Helped to accidentally kill a dude in the process. Still takes up for Boomer when he can, he also thinks that his Cylon/Human hybrid child is dead, as he was told. But the child is still alive and placed with an adoptive unwitting mother.
Colonel Saul Tigh
The drunk XO, which I think means operating officer, of the Galactica for season one and most of season two. Took over for awhile while Adama was shot, had some uprisings that things went bad, and people were killed. Has a sleazy wife, who may or may not be Cylon. Season two finale, went to live with his wife on the planet.
CPO Calen Tyrol, aka CHIEF
The Chief was having a sexual affair with the Boomer Cylon who wound up shooting Adama later in the story arc. Though her superior, or she his, either one, it don't matter, they still kept up the affair. Her death hit him hard, and it got worse when HELO's Boomer showed back on board the Galactica. Not his Boomer, this one was Helo's but remembered the Chief "a little". At any rate, the Chief is a side character, takes part in various storylines, general good guy, though a sap.
PO2 Anastasia Dualla (Dee)
A Petty Officer (2nd class) currently on Combat Information Center duty. She is no-nonsense, tough, and pragmatic -- even when falling in love. She is the lover of Commander Lee Adama (Apollo), and serving on the Pegasus with him.
Tom Zerek
Former terrorist, and political figure. Shows up in various episodes as the sleazy but respectable bad guy.
The 12 Human model Cylons: so far, we know 7 of the 12 models.
D'anna Biers Also known as Cylon #3. Her human cover story on Galactica is as a reporter. She seems to hold some position of power among the Cylons, as we saw more of her in episodes on the Cylon occupied planet Caprica.
Number Six She has mulitple storylines going on. In one, she was a cylon that was having an affair with Dr. Baltar, and got clearance to the 12 colonies mainframe, allowing the Cylon attack to succeed. She was killed in one of the nuke explosions that took out Baltars house, then was resurected on Caprica, where she made friends with the resurected Boomer. After resurection, she sees images of Baltar talking to her in her mind.
Another storyline, she is some kind of after image, or echo in Dr. Baltars head. This has not been explained yet. But she appears and talks to Baltar at random, helping him along his course.
In another storyline, she was on the Galactic, did not seem to know she was a cylon, had a little sub plot deal going, then disappeared.
***sigh*** In yet another storyline, she was a caputred Cylon on the Pegasus, the sister Battleship of the Galactica, though way more advanced. She was tortured under Admiral Cain. Baltar freed her, and she killed Cain. Then led a short life on one of the other ships in the Colonial Fleet, doing terroist activitys. She got a nuke from Baltar, who met up with her and had sex with her. She used it to suicide herself and blow the ship she was on, (Cloud Nine) to smitherines. This blast helped the Cylons track down the Fleet and the planet they had settled on. She probably died for real, as no resurection ships were nearby.
Lt. Sharon Valerii, aka BOOMER Also known as #8. Boomer has more than one storyline going. One Boomer was a sleeper agent on Battlestar, wound up trying to kill Adama. Didn't know she was a cylon at first. Then she was killed. She was resurected on Caprica and has more sub plot stuff going on with the resurected #6.
The other Boomer storyline, she was a cylon on Caprica that befriended and had sex with Helo. Got preggers. Helo found her out, but kind of forgave her. She seems confused. She made it back to the Galactica with Helo and has been imprisoned most of the trip. She helps the fleet from time to time, but no one trusts her. She had the human/cylon baby, but was told it died.
Mystery Cylon. # unknown. This guy was pretending to be a doctor on Caprica in a Cylon run hospital that was impregnating human woman. Starbuck was in the hospital and a captured prisoner. He pretended to be a doctor, but she figured him out and pig stuck him with some kind of home made weapon.
Mystery Clylon. # unknown. This guy showed up at the end of season two, looking for Starbuck. I think he is also the first Cylon that Adama found in the mini series that aired. But I'm not sure. I think he is also the guy that they blew out the airlock, after Starbuck tortured him.
Mystery Clylon. # unknown. This guy is seen walking around with the other Cylons, seems like a power figure, one of the movers and shakers.
Mystery Clylon. # unknown. Might have said his name, but I didn't catch it. Ha! This guy is my favorite. Showed up as a priest of Kobal, and gave council to the chief. His twin came back from a Caprica rescue mission with info for the crew. Found out, they were both put in a jail cell. They are funny as hell and more than a little quirky.
Well, I need to find a way to update the list without spoilers but I'm coming up short.
I think what I really need to do is do true updates to it, as soon as the episodes air,
keep track of promotions, do a short sweet little Bio, list who is deceased, who is a cylon, who is what rank, etc.
Then put in the thread title that it will contain spoilers. That would be the best thing to do.
I really want to add all the 6 known Cylons into the mix with pics, so people who are still in Season One are just going to have to skip this thread if they don't want spoilers. I will work on it this weekend.

So, we've got seven of the twelve. Three of them, we don't know their #.... and we still have 5 of them that are unknown, completely.
I wonder if their is any signifigance to the order of their numbers. And, if number one was created and then helped with the rest, and so on. Also, WHO actually created these cylons in human form? That's the person that we want to find.
