The recommending foods for SARS post #1  quote:

The fact of the mysterious pneumonia has been widely spread in China. Scientists are working hard on specific drug. But till now no antibiotics have been proved to be 100%. As a biomedical researcher, let me give you some suggestions.

The only effective way to get rid of SARS is by ourselves. The stronger the immune function you have, the less the viral injury you get. Therefore, the degree of sickness after infection and the rate of recovery mainly depend on how strong your immune function is. You cannot avoid the infection unless you avoid from those infected individuals/area. Stronger immune function could keep the viral damage minimal even you were so unluckily being infected. Also, stronger immune function delays the onset of any detrimental effects from the viral infection.

You can try your best to strengthen your immune function within a short period of time. The recommending foods will be useful to improve your immune reaction.

1. Make sure you get enough carbohydrate foods (e.g. rice, food concentrated in starch... etc) because carbohydrate is the primary food for immune cells.

2. Make sure you get enough high quality fruits (e.g. tomato, blackberry, mulberry, citrus.. etc). The high quality fruits are those fruits in red and dark green color which contains tremendous amount of antioxidant flavonoid and colorants. Especial mulberry, which has dark color and full of Vitamin C , Vitamin E, Vitamin B, carotene, Selenium and Zinc, must be very useful for improve the immune capacity and prevent diseases.

3. Make sure you get Vitamin E 1000 IU and Vitamin C 1000 milligram (mg) daily. Instead of taking supplement, you can take enough high quality fruits, such as mulberry and orange a day to get the vitamin C.

4. Make sure you get enough antioxidant nutraceuticals. Taking enough antioxidant supplements will boost up your immune function.

Good Luck, my friends.
