- ok whos seen this movie, and what did you think of it?
Just because this man be the biggest jerk, or you dislike him, i cant see that being enough to convict someone of murder! Quote Mark Geregos: Scott Peterson's defense attorny.
Preston, Idaho's most curious resident, Napoleon Dynamite (Heder), lives with his grandma and his 32-year-old brother (who cruises chat rooms for ladies) and works to help his best friend, Pedro (Efren Ramirez), snatch the Student Body President title from mean teen Summer Wheatley (Haylie Duff).
This movie was just a messed up silly stupid no plot waste of time.
But I LOVED it.
It conneceted on so many levels. just the little things this guy was doing, I was like MAN!!!
It's the kind of movie you laugh when you watch it, then you laugh later when you think about it.
The funniest parts was the crazy stuff he would say, like "You know, there's, like, a buttload of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join 'cause I'm pretty good with a bo staff. Do you ride the bus to school?"
Or when Pedro shaved his head, cause he was hot, then he had to wear that dumb wig.
Or when Nap is in the thrift store, and he is browsing and he finds that short sword thingy.
Or when he is slammming that ball on the swing pole.
But the dance part was the best. He was moving.
No, I take it back, Pedro's speach was the best, when he said,
"Hello.
I don't have much to say.
But I think it would be good to have
some holy santos brought to the high school
to guard the hallway and to bring us good luck.
El Santo NiƱo de Atocha is a good one.
My Aunt Concha has seen him.
And...we have a great F.F.A. schedule lined up--
and I'd like to see more of that.
If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true.
I checked this a while back, the girlfriend put it on. Now, all I heard was about this is the funniest thing since someone getting hit in the groin with a football. I did laugh, but I don't see it as being crazy 'There's Something About Mary' hilarious. It was solid, off the wall, but I'm not going to vote for Pedro
Last week, Japanese scientists explaced- placed explosive detonators at the bottom of Lake Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water. Sir Curt Godfrey of the Nessie Alliance summoned the help of Scotland's local wizards to cast a protective spell over the lake and it's local residents and all those who seek for the peaceful existence of our underwater ally.
It must be an old people movie. All my friends who like it are old. (in dey 30's)
Sierradaddy said this in post #6 : I think it was really funny in it's own way. I didnt' really appreciate the movie until later when I came across this:
oh man that site is comedy. I can play those sound bytes all day. The scene where napoleon and that sign language group does that presentation, IS HILARIOUS.
that movie rocks

quote:
Napoleon:
What kind of bike do you have?
-
Pedro:
It's a Sledgehammer.
Napoleon:
Dang! You got shocks, pegs. Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?
reminds me of me in my nerd days, we set up ramps for our bikes and took SWEEEEET jumps. And we would brick of course and hurt ourselves.
