This seems to be back from September, and what Mark Hamill is talking about is back from when they were making the original trilogy (George Lucas has said he doesn't really want to make the last 3 episodes, but he may change his mind).
Very interesting, the interview's quite amusing...
I personally do hope the last 3 movies happen. I mean, people say the 3 prequels ruined the original trilogy, so it's impossible to make things even worse with 3 movies continuing the story after Darth Vader and the Emperor have perished...
If they do make a sequel trilogy, Lucas needs real directors. He should just be the producer because he creates wonderful worlds and overall direction, but when it comes to the details, he's a chimpanzee at a typewriter.
Who would you want to see as a director(s) of a sequel trilogy?
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
- Bill Cosby
The guy who takes a chance, who walks the line between the known and unknown, who is unafraid of failure, will succeed.
- Gordon Parks
I can't think of anyone better than Spielberg. That in my opinion, would be a MONSTROUS collaboration.
Other than Spielberg, I'd go for Pete Jackson. Jackson's got a mind that is his own complete universe, and I'd love to see another expression of it on this scale (after the King Kong remake, which has me as giddy as a little schoolgirl...).
Those are my choices...
I've got another question though...
What type of movie would require a collaboration of ALL THREE???? Now THAT would be a movie I'd probably KILL to go see....
