This new bill will give us a definite Chain of Command with the Intelligence units.

The failure to have this in place resulted in 9/11. as a memo was sent to one of the Agencies and it said persons of unknown background are taking flying , lessons only these lessons were limited to taking off not landing.
Think about it.

Also there is something else that needs to be adopted and promises are made that mandatory licensing across the country will be effected shortly.
This is a verbal promise and thats not worth the paper its not written on.

As it stands anyone of the illegal immigrants can come over the line/borders. and are able to get a DL, this allows all of them or any of them to travel in this country and to fly. We have a nation that dictates a drivers LC is all you need to prove you are who you are. This opens us to all kinds of mind blowing incidents.
Some lawmakers feel this issue should be up to the States. Now think about that for a minute.

If you can't get a license in Louisiana just go over to the state that allows you to get one and thats that.

King George is pushing for legislation that will give basic amnesty to illegal alians.
For all that he wants....why don't they just make being an illegal alien legal??...because that is what's happening....

So this federalization of drivers licenses is a wash....because once they have a proof that someone is an illegal alien...and they don't enforce deportation....who cares?

No, Delta, this federalization of NATIONAL ID cards has nothing to do with immigration...it has all to do with monitoring and enslaving law abiding citizens like you and I.

No beef, just lettuce and tomato.

If someone wants to work in this country that's great, that's even wonderful... they can apply for a work VISA like every other law abiding person.

If I went over to France, Germany, New Zealand, you name it....and I worked without a proper VISA...forget it, I am out the door in a heartbeat.

Its the 1% that bothers me Dek, they should have proof of living status. This is a small thing to ask in this day and time in our Nation.

SWTT thats the whole point as far as I am concerned.

We the USA have the least restrictions on aliens in all the world when we have so much to lose.

Has 9/11 proved anything to us?

First what the f are you talking about? Bush's agenda does not include wholesale amnesty to the illegals, that is just your anti Bush thinking pouring out your mouth. I have seen nothing to indicate this to be a fact.

What stupid political suicide that would produce. And I don't think Bush is stupid

Now you are not for Bush but at least have some proof to backup what you are statng as fact and attributed to him/

Would be appreciated. And no you can not depress me.

I believe she's talking about that act that gave a work visa to many aliens that were here illegally.

This is one of the few things that I actually like that Bush did.

I mean okay, for security reasons, we gotta seal up our borders. And if people are here illegally, there's nothing wrong with tracking them down and deporting them.

But they are not "the enemy" or anything they are just PEOPLE trying to get along in life.

So they were here illegally.... well Bush gave them a way to be here legally. So what the heck is the problem???

You won't hear me say this too often, but for this, and the Do-Not-Call list... GO BUSH!

There are some huge debates going on right now in the house and senate regarding immigration policies and where they are headed....
if you don't believe me....watch the debates and come to your own conclusions.

c-span shows them in their entirety....

A local Congressman here in Colo, Tom Tancredo and Dana Rochacher (sp?) from Calif have heated debates with those numbskulls about Bush immigration reform and the nonsense immigration policies AND their lack of enforcement in Congress all the time....

I receive emails from Rep. Tancredo's office all the time...will forward them onto you if you'd like.

People need to obey the laws in this country...and if someone comes into this country right off the bat and breaks a law by not following simple procedures for obtaining a work VISA...they have no business being here. What laws are they following???

And that's the problem Tom Tancredo (rep Colo) is concerned about. If Congress has passed laws regarding immigration, and they do not ensure nor care whether those laws are enforced....then where is the rule of law in this country?

We go over to Iraq and spout hypocrisy about the USA being a country where the rule of law is mandated...we need to practice what we preach....or we're the laughing stock of the world.

I am all for Practice what we preach, don't see how Bush is hurting us by allowing people who work here to survive. Maybe we should just close our borders to all or have an enforcer available to pick only the ones who pass a certain credo.

No we are the nation who has a statue of Liberty that says Give me your worn and weary and so on. How can we be two faced in the world of public opinion now?

Sure send me the congress mans notations, I will read them and offer u my own opinion.

You see I don't really care what all of these political people say,I care what is being done.

Visas have been available for eons, only trouble is we are short staffed on keeping up with ones who have expired and so the Driver's License's would be a good control as they have to be renewed. That is in itself a control

I, personally, do not give a crap about meaningless gibberish written down on paper. I see them as guidelines and not hard-and-fast rules.

I understand the need for there to be order in society... that is what laws are for. They do not exist to be obeyed unconditionally. There is a reason there are methods in place to change/add/erase laws. And it takes common sense to interpret them.

**** the letter of the law... all I'm concerned with is the spirit. Letter of the law is man-made garbage.

When the laws in place actually disrupt the order of things, then it is time to change them.

I don't care if illegal aliens break the law to get here, as long as they are not being a burden on society. And most of them aren't.

Bottom line is, no one has been able to point out what problem has arisen from illegal immigration that isn't solved by giving them legal status?

The principle of the thing? Rubbish. The immigrants aren't here to learn a lesson on discipline or anything, this is boot camp or some crap. They are just here to survive.

I welcome them. Mi casa es su casa.
