I've not watched the last episode, and by postponing one of the episodes for a week (meaning there was 2 weeks in-between episodes...), I've just lost the majority of the interest I had in this show.
It's too damn slow-paced for me... Where the heck is the 'beast'? If it was so close and so ready to tear them apart in the first episode, why has it disappeared? Why spend so much time on each character? Why choose to reveal one character each week, instead of revealing a little less about 2 or 3 characters each time, so we get a glimpse at a broader base, even if the information revealed turns out to be a little less? At least, it wouldn't seem so boring and I'd have the opportunity to learn more about a variety of characters rather quickly...
Who else is bored to death by the pacing of this show? I've all but given up on it. And I had such high hopes for it, but after the first episode, I said that I hope this show doesn't go the way of John Doe. That was another show that had a good shot, but suffered from repetition and slow movement/pacing.
Do they need a new writing cast in order to pull this one out of the bag?
I agree with both of you. Hearing a characters story you get attached to them and barely see them in the next few episodes. It's frustrating. There are still so many things they are keeping from us, and have been for too long. Suspense is nice to a certain point. But I think it is fair to say they are taking it too far.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Thank you both. I'm glad I'm not just knit-picking about this, and that others see it the way I do. My guess is that it won't last much longer, seeing that these scripts were approved by the executives, and they MUST know how boring things were getting...
The show HAS to be ready to go in another direction soon... Maybe the Ethan revelation is part of that change... I sincerely HOPE so...
Things have to step up soon. We have info on most of the major players. Perhaps when we learn about the minor ones, it will be shorter and more time will be on the whole "we are not alone" aspect.
ok guys...this is for LOST...not clay aiken or barry manilow...whoever that is.......
anyway....i really like that they only give you one character a week....i think it makes you wanna watch more!!
PS: CHARLIE IS F ING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dom is sooo cute!
You!!! OFF MY PLANET!!
a wise monkey never monkies with another monkies monkey
Maybe it makes YOU wanna watch more, but it killed MY interest in the show, and I was one of its biggest supporters initially. The reason why we digressed to Clay and Manilow (to me, they BOTH are DREADFULLY BORING...) is just an expression of how much this show has deflated our interest in it.
I WISH that it could draw me back in soon. Something BIG has to happen, like some kinda wardrobe malfunction or something... (Preferrably NOT from Charlie... )
I think Fuscia and I have BOTH renewed our faith in this series...
I understand that this season will be a total of 24 episodes, which I think is great, especially if the intensity continues to remain at its current level.
At that point, when the CA X~mas speacial was on, i wasnt watching the show. in fact, it was dom(or charlie or whatever you wanna call 'im) that caught my attention to the show. lol, yea i saw him and sat down and watched. haha. good choice.
yea the show is getting AWESOME! cant wait till wednesday!
i wish i was everything you ever wanted.
Honestly, honesty's a fable in love.
isnt this exactly where you'd like me?.
i just kinda give....
