I agree with both. If you wish to be rich in spirit and rich in dollars, be a business owner who knows how to manage therapist...
As a business owner myself, I can speak from experience... BE PREPARED! There is more to running a business than just knowing your industry. Business management classes are a start, but if that's not an option, the libraries have up-to-date business management books.
You'll want to know a little bit about every area of your business, but you don't have to be an expert. Surround yourself with experts, and share your vision with them so they can help you run with it. It's extremely challenging, and worth it. You'll be responsible for complying with a lot of laws, so make sure you know what laws govern your industry.
Lawsuits are a big deal now, and they catch employers off guard because they weren't complying with laws they didn't even know existed.
