Thumbs down Stupidity post #1  quote:

Whenever I watch the Oscar's, I get a big charge out of the selection of movies for Best actress, Best actor and Best picture. It always happens that the movies that I think are terrific and may even be considered to be on the list of the greatest movies of all time, never win. It is always the movies that have the well- known actresses in them and their producers are well-known and rich. I find this very unfair and very ignorant of real talent. Shakespeare would be appalled at acting now-of-days. In his day and into the 1800s, actors and actresses were looked down upon and there profession scorned because it wasn't really a trade. They usually lived a poor life and starved. You might disagree with me but I say that is stupidity and us working folk can't do **** to prevent it. It is the corporate's decision, not ours.
