Ok we all heard of Vegans, now I understand there is a new group of people primarily but not limited to the city of New York.
They are called Freegans. Freegans? Yeah they are seen rooting thru dumpsters for food that restaurants throw away,and they act like they are in a supermarket. Riffling away at large garbage bags for little goodies like old fruit, veggies, Meat the grocery store has thrown out. Bread. just name it.
I was shocked to see these well dressed people scratching for food,.in my life time this was reserved for the homeless.
We were taken into the house of one of the freegans and shown into their fridges, clean OK, not much there. Then we were "treated" to watching them unload their garbage,excuse me goodies from their own bags into their own fridges.
No one has gotten ill frrm this practice and their reasoning is,Why not? Food is expensive and we here in The USA throw out more then we can eat.
Don't know about the rest of you but from now on if I am invited to eat over someones house I may ask to see a grocery list for the food.
Anyone hear of the Freegans? What do you think?

NO I heard them say they had never gotten anything from the food.
Just plain obnoxious to me Yuk..

OH by the way I am a true life Adrain Monk,almost obsessive compulsive.
Especially with going to the clinic each day,.I take anti bacterial liquid and wet anti bacterail cloths, to remove any germs. from my hands. I guess you will never find me "Dumpster Dumping" hee hee. No offense to the Homelless.

There are actually retreats for posh rish people with too much money and not enough sense and they can live like a homeless person for a weekend. You go to this place (I think in New York?) and they take all your clothes and cash and phone and whatever, dress you in rags and send you out into the street for the weekend with nothing but a map to the nearest shelters and soup kitchens. You spend the weekens living like a bum, come back to the organisers on Sunday night, they give you back your phone, your Mercedes and your Ralph Lauren suit and you go home to get ready for Wall Street on Monday. All this for $400.00.

haven't these peeps ever heard of the 5-second rule? that rule is the glue of civilization.
for some odd reason, while the word "Ganya" was still just a thought-dropping in my head, I thought it'd only be four letters. But apparently it's five. yep.
