I really doubt anyone will ever from my school will ever uncover this thread but what they hey. You've got to be in it to win it .... ... or something.
Anyone from the Mandurah area feel free to respond. I also went to Greenfields Primary School, had friends at Dudley Park, Mandurah Senior High, Fredrick Irwin (Freddy Gherkin ).
Also anyone involved in the Rock Esiteddfods, Mandurah Little Theatre, or Mandurah Performing Art Centre Youth Group.
It used to be called "Social Studies" and that would have some history and some cultural stuff and everything in it. Now I think they call it "Environmental and Societal Studies" or something.
They did start running a specific History unit when I was in year 11 and only three people wanted to do it, so they didn't run the class.
We're in Australia, we only have 100 years of history or so to go through. It's not neccessary for us to have a whole class just for History.
I got an email through someone who knows who knows someone who knows someone who I went to high school with. She had been looking for me for a while through http://www.schoolfriends.com.au, but with no luck and then she found this friend who knew where I worked and she sent me an email at work.
I haven't seen this person for about 8 years and suddenly out of the blue, an email.
