Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas post #1  quote:

What does everyone think of this game?

In short: you shoot, stab, beat up people, rob them, pimp hoes, steal cars, blow up buildings, steal truck loads of crap from the government... every crime you can possibly think of.

I love the radio stations through the game, especially the New Jack Swing station (SAC 102.1 or something it's called), playing Bobby Brown and Johnny Gill and Bell Biv DeVoe, En Vogue, SWV and more. Must have spent a fortune on the music alone!!!

I'm not particularly far in the game, but I'm pretty buff, cause I go to the gym often, and I've got a fair few contacts. The funniest guy I've come across is OG Loc... that dude his harsh...

Lots of humor and lots of action make this a fun game.

If you want to come in and complain about the moral degredation of society because of games like this, you're more than welcome to. But, be warned, you're dealing with some tough hombres who know the streets. Comprende?

This game is just fun. If you're an adult, like both Gabo and I, then who gives a crap if there's swearing and other forms of profanity in it? I mean, I just don't play the game in front of my daughter...

I'm buff too, but my stamina is low... I HATE the treadmill, both in the game and in real life... The low-rider contest was fun. The cars and burglaries are fun. ANY fast motorbike is cool, and the thought that the more you ride them, the better your bike skills get is a good one. I got some cheats just to see what I could look forward to in the future... WOW... 3 packs of weapons to use throughout the game. I've never seen that before... Heat-seeker rocket launcher?? That's INSANE.

The BMX bike idea was good, and the fact that swimming has been added is good too. So far, there's nothing about this game that doesn't interest me to some extent. Can't wait til friday... I plan to buy it then...

THe tred mill is hard. My stamina is full, but I still can't go over level5 of the tred mill. The bike built it up fast enough.

I love the bikes too, I always make sure I've got one in my garage to travel around with. After the OG Loc mission trying to catch Frank or whoever, I realized how cool they are.

Yeah, the first low rider contest was cool, but I fail it every time now... Apparently there's a way to get some extra cash from a guy in your area, a guy in a black suit, with his arms folded. Usually has 2000 on him. But I haven't found him yet

I got the weapons cheats too, but I'm not game to use them just yet. I'll play it for a while, use cheats when I get REALLY bored

Also, have you built up your gang? If you target lock onto guys, and press UP on the directional pad, they join your gang and follow you around and attack people you want to attack. You have to have some respect first though.

Anyways ... yeah, awesome game. I'm not extremely far in yet, but I'm getting there! hehehe.

I tried the gang thing today. My bike skills I've been focussing on recently. I also tried out the two planes that are in the airport (sneaked in by parking a car beside the wall, jumping on the car, then over the wall). I got across to another part of the city, but before I could land the plane, I got 3 stars and was shot down. Obviously, they're trying to keep you from accessing other areas too soon...

I've decided that I'm gonna up my cycling, driving, biking, and flying skills, so if anyone knows how far in the game I have to go before I can get some flight training, please let me know.

I've done almost NO OG missions yet... Will do some soon, hopefully, but I have to BUY the game first. So far, I've only rented it...

Quick! Quick! Buy! Buy! I need help from someone who knows what they're doing

OG Loc's missions aren't too tricky, really. As long as you've got guns, you can generally do them. I've recently gotten to a point where Sweet has told me to take over some new territories. That's pretty funky.

The map will glow green for all of the Grove street territories, purple for the Ballas, yellow for someone else. If I go into, say, Balla territory, and shoot 3 of them, I start a gang war. Then they come in droves, and I have to kill them. Kill 3 waves of them and the 'hood' is yours. It's a nice little addition. And it's cool to have some 'homeboys' with you, so they can take some of the fire.

I haven't tried the plane yet, but you've got me interested hehehe.... well, I'll wait for that part to come.

Oh, I've started dating some chick named Denise, who happens to be someone I saved from a burning building. It's kind of tricky, when you go out on dates, she wants to do some drive bys, so you have to get 3 wanted stars before she'll want to end your date... kind of tricky to get it without blowing up from a damaged car or cheating

Ah well...

I started a second game in which I'd cheat the other day. Just built up money, taking over hoods, buying houses, anything I can really.

btw, I'd say you have to go far before you get some flight training... From what I can tell, this game is HUGE. It'll go on for some time...

I heard there's driving schools and such, but I can't find them still looking.

I'm now out of Los Santos, and on to San Fierro, or whatever it's called. There's an interesting, but kind of frustrating twist in the game when you're allowed access to San Fierro, but then the game takes on a whole different direction in a way. I won't give anything away, but I'll tell you that the driving school is in San Fierro. I've also done some fight training and changed my fighting style to martial arts.

The game really IS huge! There's a LOT happening. It's gotta be the best game I've ever played.

hehehhe you're getting me excited to start playing again. I know I've only got about 3 missions to go before moving onto San Fierro, so I can't wait martial arts sounds awesome, as does the driving school I did some weapons training in the Ammo-Nation store (pistol and mini SMG)... that's about it

Okay, spending this weekend playing again

I did that weapons training also, but I was already handling dual minis by that time, so it didn't really help...

I just found out about more mini-games, like the video games, that are in San Andreas. Yesterday, while in San Fierro, I went into a bar and played POOL! After losing a couple games, I went on a pool cue rampage in the bar to vent my frustration.

Hurry up and catch up to me... I've done maybe 10 missions or less, since I hit San Fierro. I don't find myself back in Los Santos much, but I can go back anytime I want by taking a plane between the two airports.

Also, if you like doing vehicle stunts, you'll love San Fierro.

hehehe well, weekends coming, let's see.

There's actually a bar in Los Santos. Go out of the Johnson house, turn left and go down the street. The next to first bridge, on the right, there's a bar that you can play pool in.

I'm still not up to hitman level though, so I'm only using a single gun

I knew about that bar, but I never went in it except for one date with Denise. I had a feeling that the game would be in there also, but since I'd only checked out San Fierro, I didn't say anything about Los Santos...

And Nymphadora, the game IS better than both GTA3 and Vice City! It's got everything they had, and MORE!

Yes, yes, a lot better

Erm... I still need to finish the last badlands mission the farewell my love race thing. It's a pain in the butt cause I can't stand car races. And this one, though I've only tried it twice, is a pain in the butt.

Hehehe I got Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus over the weekend man, I really should learn to concentrate on one game only
