Tim Burton's Willy Wonka post #1  quote:

Just thought I'd share this pic of Johnn Depp as Willy Wonka. Apparently security around the whole thing is tight, so, well, enjoy.

It's grainy, but still interesting.

So from that, are you starting to fear Tim Burton's take on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

I am thinking this is going to be an interesting movie.

Personally, I think Willy Wonka was on LSD.

This is supposed to be another piccie of Johhny Depp as Wonka. He looks very strange..... I don't know though if it is JD or not. It doesn't look like him at all.

That's him though. Looks interesting. I'll reserve judgement til I see the flick though.

He looks scary. Looks more like a Stephen King movie poster than Willy Wonka.

I happen to have the poster in my hands right now. It never ceases to amaze me how many odd characters Johnny has played. Take Pirates of The Carribean for example... he was awesome. Tim Burton is pretty cool so we shall see... I'm interested to see the Oompa Loompas. This is gonna be great, I have a feeling.

Burton and Depp team up often, I'd say...

I'm reserving judgement until I get to see an actual clip or trailer, or something more than a picture. I have a feeling that the movie will have that certain characteristic eery atmosphere that makes Burton's films so immersive. If nothing else, I'm betting on an interesting PRESENTATION, even if the movie itself is a dud.

I think it'll be interesting to see a non-musical version of the story (as I understand this will be). I'm absolutely sure that Tim Burton will add a fair bit of newness to the story, but he'll probably keep closer to the book than the first movie did. I'm starting to get really excited for this
