Bush IQ Exceeds Kerry's post #1  quote:

Bush IQ Higher Than Kerry's

(Kerry calls the President "a smart man.")

Kerry supporters who disparage the intellect of the President (the first president to have a Harvard MBA degree) should consider the following:

--------------------------------------------------

Brokaw interview with Kerry. Interesting response to military records question.
MSNBC ^ | 2004-10-28

Posted on 10/28/2004 5:52:57 PM PDT by jerod

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

Kerry: I do. Yes, I do think he's a smart man.

Brokaw: Do you think too many people in your party underestimate?

Kerry: I think people have always underestimated President Bush.

post #4  quote:

The debates brought out that Kerry may have had the edge on style, but Bush had the edge on substance. Substance is the mark of intellect. Kerry would tend to speak in generalities: he would do it "the right way," he had "a better plan," etc. He never gave evidence of any understanding of military or economic principles. He also did not seem to know his own mind as evidenced by his innumerable "flip-flops," most notoriously "I voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it."

As to foreign affairs, Kerry insulted the members of our 30 nation coalition as "window dressing" and "the bribed and coerced," and ridiculed their mission as "the wrong war, in the wrong place, at the wrong time." He thereby created a built-in diplomatic obstacle to his ability to work with any future ally.

It is noteworthy that President Bush is endorsed by 82 % of the military, including General Tommy Franks who planned the fastest displacement of a regime in military history. Bush also has the most competent foreign policy staff in recent memory, including Secretary of State Powell, National Security Chief Condaleeza Rice, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, and Vice President Cheney. As to domestic policy, it is also noteworthy that Bush is endorsed by the most brilliant representatives of the economic profession.

As to domestic policy, according to 368 of the nation's leading economists (including six Nobel laureates, such as this year’s winner Edward C. Prescott), “President Bush's focus on raising long-term growth using well-timed tax cuts, opening markets, and seeking to limit regulatory and litigation costs has furthered the global economic expansion.” In contrast, is the economic stupidity of Kerry’s welfare state proposals. According to the same 368 of the nation's leading economists (including six Nobel laureates, including this year’s honoree Edward C. Prescott) “Kerry's proposals would, over time, inhibit capital formation, depress productivity growth, and make the United States less competitive internationally. The end result would be lower U.S. employment and real wage growth.” (“368 Economists Against Kerrynomics,” by J. Edward Carter & Cesar V. Conda, National Review on Line, October 13, 2004.)

Thus, Bush's policies manifest far more intelligence than those of Kerry.

To be really competitive the US could slowly bring back slavery thus achieving astronomical growth and enormous advantage over it's economic rivals. Of course newer harsh punishments and a relaxation of human right would have to be brought in to make slaves work, as they would of course be inclined to object.

Look what the Nazis achieved with slavery. It has a proven record all over the world

Man you really need to seek psychiatric help your whacky as hell. America is not going to bring back slaves. Your ambition to make America look bad is down right pathetic my friend.

I'm sure he's no smarter or dumber that the average person. What's more important is he's never been interested and doen't have much of a grasp of how the world works. He's probably basing his view of Arabs on Crocodile Dundee II.

A friend of mine from England stayed with a family in Texas. She said the whole time she was there she was scared, and not just of the family she was living with.

Well man I can tell you this it's 3:46 am and I can walk down my street and smoke a cigarette or ddrink a beer or play damn hopscotch and no one will mess with me. In some of the bigger cities like Houston and Dallas and San Antonio you can't do that, but where I live you can. I have no problem with Texas whatsoever, and I have lived in A LOT of places in the USA. I'm sorry you have such harsh feeling toward a place you have never been.

Just a suggestion.

How about banging down wages to rock bottom for manual workers and pumping them full of happy pills so they wouldn't mind eating slop, living in slums and working an 84 hour week? Now that would give the US the competative edge.

To keeps labour costs down in Britain we employ a lot of illigal immigrants who can't speak the language, don't know any better and work for peanuts and live in run down properties in rooms of 20 or more. This has led to a profit boom-time in the building, catering and hotel industries in the UK.

What's that got to do with the price of fish?

There's plenty to praise about America and there's plenty to fault. You've been top dog for only 60 years, your influence is world wide, your reach is world wide. Many countries are scared of America because of this influence and reach and I'm not talking about any terrorist organisations.

Whether you like it or not you are going to get knocked, and plenty of time deservedly so. You've started a badly planned war in Iraq despite much of the world being against it that has killed thousands of innocent people and could well destabalise the Middle East.

Then again what you've done is nothing new, Britain used to do this "liberating" the savages kind of thing all the time when we were top dog. And we became the richest most powerful nation on the planet while we were at it.

I dont have any problem with people knocking the U.S., its expected of any country that others will put them down at times...but you are are doing it continuously...which is fairly sad considering youve obviously never been here.

I have been to the States but I don't see what that has got to do with anything. I see the same news as you. I watch the same war.

These forums are Post-9/11 Era and the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election so they are bound to be disccussions about America.

The Bush government started a war, not a war to defend the country from attack, but an act of aggression against another nation. The war's still going on and there's no doubt more violence death and destruction to come - what else is there to talk about?

Well you better hope we don't get "knocked", because if we go down UK will go down. Wether you like to admit it or not. Britain relies a lot on America's protection as does a lot of the world but is afraid to admit it. It's okay we're used to it.
