I thought Cheney did one hell of a better job than his "boss" (ha!) did, won a few, lost a few, but overall I still believe that Edwards outpointed him. Trying to be as objective as I could possibly be, I could not see it any worse than a draw. All news reports I watched prior to the actual debate opined that a draw would favor Kerry/Edwards.
After the debate, switching channels frequently to try to get a good cross section of opinion, I first heard more people favoring Cheney. Then, I began to see more Edwards sentiment, and many calling it a draw.
We will see how it plays out in a day or two. In the meantime, the MSNBC Poll with more than a quarter of a million votes in favors Edwards 71% to 29%.
BIG Dick
Cheney won the "debate."
I would not have expected less from the sleight of hand, lying, bully of a "man" that he is.
He again lived up to his nickname while at Haliburton...."the axe man."
He had to prepare before the Congress today....again he told them "f.... you."
Yeah this is a man I would want as 2nd in charge. NOT.
I'm watching the debate now and it seems to be a draw, no one is the superior from what I see, it's definitely not like last Thursday, both men are doing well, although they both seem to not answer questions directly.

I'm sure you're not surprised AZ that Fox did not share in this opinion.
There was alot of talk about "eating him up" and other strange lingo to describe BIG Dick's "victory."
AZIdolfan said this in post #6 : At best, a draw. I heard at least five pundits (different networks) call it a draw and proclaimed it a plus for Kerry, not Bush.

Thank you...thats my point!
Different channels show different poll stats.
Why do people feel the need to look to other stations to think for them.
I saw a few opinions..but that was enough...I already decided what I thought when watching..I dont need to see anymore...the few opinions I did see from both the majority of Dems and Repubs, said they both felt Cheney won..and I had already thought the same thing.
So...I turned the channel to watch a movie instead.

I think Edwards has been stinging Bush and Cheney. But Cheney still isn't rattled, that's a good thing, he shows more experience but he is not a man I want to see in office. I mean he voted against Nelson Mandela and the Equal Rights Amendment.

C-Span is the best.
Very little commentary.
In fact they take calls from "the people."
I like that they care what us "little people" think.
After all the government is SUPPOSED to be for us, not the other way around like it exists today.
I heard the fox commentary for a few seconds and shut it down!
ICB,
Was Nelson Mandela a US government official?
What do I care about what our government thinks about South African politicians?
It's not in our constitution to rule on the affairs of foreign nations.
Just like nation building in Iraq has nothing to do with our constitution.
The entire government (except for a handful) are ALL on CRACK.
Oh, yeah,
apartheid was a bad thing, I know.
I was more concerned about our universities and corporations who divested in S. Africa.
This was a huge stink on my college campus in the 1980's.

I already made it a point on here that I DO NOT believe in biased statistical polls...
As Im sure you already know...anyone could go anywhere and find a poll that shows the opposite...
I dont need to go to polls to see what I already saw.
I think for myself.
Let me make my point...and Im in no way stating I believe this poll either.
I hate polls...but Ive been saying that since Ive been on inreview..and this doesnt just apply to political things.
But...Im doing this to prove a point on how different stations have different results.
Oct. 6, 2004— Dick Cheney prevailed in the vice presidential debate with help from a more Republican audience — and more support from his ticket's side than John Edwards got from his.
Among registered voters who watched the debate, 43 percent said Cheney won, 35 percent called Edwards the winner and 19 percent called it a tie. One factor is that more Republicans tuned in — 38 percent of viewers were Republicans, 31 percent Democrats, the rest independents.
Who Won? (Among Debate Viewers)
Cheney 43%
Edwards 35
Tie 19
