Terminator 4 is Coming post #1  quote:

Terminator 4 Ready for a 2005 Start!
Source: Variety September 24, 2004

Terminator 4 is ready to start production in 2005, but will Arnold Schwarzenegger be back? Variety reports that Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris have completed a draft of a script that was developed under the supervision of "T3" director Jonathan Mostow.

The trade adds that C2 partners Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna are returning as producers, and "T3" financier Intermedia, which has underwritten development so far, will begin the process of setting up the budget for the picture.

Mostow is expected to next direct an untitled thriller he wrote for Paramount. Intermedia will open formal negotiations shortly for a deal that would make "T4" Mostow's next directing job. Intermedia will also meet soon with Warner Bros. Pictures and Sony Pictures, who distributed "T3" domestically and internationally, respectively. Both of the studios have an option to serve the same roles in the fourth film.

Schwarzenegger's availability is the big question mark, since he is the governor of California. There's already been talks for Arnold to return, but it would likely be in a limited role. Variety adds that the expectation is that "T4" will break in a new terminator model.

There's no word yet whether or not Nick Stahl or Claire Danes will return.

Arnie has agreed to do a small part in the Terminator 4 movie. Also doing a sequel to "True Lies":

Arnold Schwarzenegger Signs for Terminator 4 and True Lies 2

iEliza Dushku: "We're doing it. Definitely doing it. I'm revved."

California Governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to return into the movie business, signing to star in two big money sequels.

Schwarzenegger, 58, has agreed to work once again with the Oscar-winning director James Cameron for the forth "Terminator" project and for the "True Lies" sequel, according to website Moviehole.net.

Actress Eliza Dushku, who will star as the daughter of Arnold in "True Lies 2", says: "We all caught up. Me, Jamie Lee Curtis, Arnold and Jim (James Cameron), to talk about "True Lies 2", about a month ago in California. We're doing it. Definitely doing it. I'm revved."

John Rosengrant, the special effects expert from Stan Winston Studios, confirms the rumor by saying: "It's too early to figure out what a new Terminator would look like, or anything like that.

You see the script and what spark comes from that, (talk) with the director and see what the vision is. It does no good to dream it up unless you write a treatment and try to get out there and sell it yourself."

I am glad Jamie-Lee Curtis is in True Lies again. Wouldn't be the same without her.

Doesn't say when they will start filming or anything. I'd guess Arnie has to get back into shape and stuff. How much longer is he in term for as Governer? Can he take time off from being Governer to film or does he have to wait until his term, is over?

He'll probably have the studio film around whatever his schedule is... Since he'll more than likely have some limited role anyways (seeing as many of the robots of the future were without flesh=non-cyborg=no need for Arnold), I don't see it being a problem if filming were to start well before his term is up. I'll bet he'll be campaigning for re-election anyways, so I think that waiting for his term to end is futile...

Would he be likely to get re-elected if he was back acting? Would the people want a Governer who's attention wasn't 100% on the job?

I'm glad Eliza Dushku will be in True Lies 2 It really gives continuality to the movies; and she's such a cool actor I hope she has a much bigger part than last time.

She played their daughter. She was a fair bit younger then though.

her roll basically consisted of stealing some money from a wallet and getting kidnapped towards the end (though by that point you'd almost forgotten they had a daughter )

Im not sure if arnie will be in this one, if it covers the complete war that acually started in T3 then he will have to be in it ... maybe they will just show the "good" guys (i forget his name ) re wireing arnie and sending him back, although they could make it so there is a whole army of arnies and they take a few.

I suspect the graphic scenes in T4 will be special, so far the CGI in the terminator series has been good, and now they have to show armies of robots attacking, they showed abit of what was to come at the beginning of T3

Good point, T4 will be a great opportunity for some new CGI effecets to blow us all away, they might only need Arnie for just a few scenes .

But I can imagine it being as boring as hell in that way. I mean, it will be sort of like Land of the Dead, but with robots

But they'd be quite a large neccessary group of actors, it's PEOPLE vs machines, so it's never going to be 100% CGI unless they go all "Final Fantasy" on us.

I just mean a few kick-ass scenes like the actual fighting and war scenes would be mega CGI, they could steal a lot of the technology being made for Lion Witch and the Wardrobe's fight scenes. That's supposed to a wicked engine for making fight scenes.

If they can get the guy who played the kid in T3, he was a good actor, I can see myself wanting to see him lead Earth to war against machines. Killer CGI machines, of course

I have two off topic things to say ... Spelburg has developed a knew techuque where you can make 3D movies without the glasses it about the way light comes off the screen, of course all the Cinema's doing this will need to get plasma screens

The other is that i have a friend that is in the choir that is singing the sound track for Lion Witch and the Wardrobe it looks good from what ive seen

On all the Terminator so far there has been flash forwards of whats going to happen ... and they usually dont put too much fighting just have scenes of it ... They have to get out of the bunker, or get an army of survivors together, they also have to send back arnie 3 times ... they still have alot to do ... i supose they will end it with Arnie killing that guy, and that girl sending bakc the last arnie and i supose through the way movies go the humans will win ... maybe there will be a big fight scene ... maybe a big cliff hanger if theres going to be anoter terminator
