I like JoJo, she is a good strong singer but she doesn't act like she is 13
I love Luke Schenscher! I miss David Greene! *Go Georgia Tech*

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — She's a 13-year-old pop singer, but somehow JoJo is hot with the hip-hop set.
J-Kwon said at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards that he hopes to collaborate with the former "America's Most Talented Kid" contestant, and Bow Wow has already logged studio time with her.
JoJo and Bow Wow's collaboration, a remix of her album track "Baby It's You," will be the follow-up single to the singer's breakthrough hit, "Leave."
"It's sick," JoJo said Sunday. "It has a nice reggae feel to it. I think a lot of people will like it. Lyrically, it's saying that you want a guy for just himself. You don't need all those material things, it's not important. You just want to spend time with him."
Erik White, who directed the "Leave" video, also helmed the "Baby It's You" clip, which will debut in September.
"It's really cute," JoJo said. "We shot it at a carnival, an amusement park, at night, so it had those edgy, beautiful lights. Me and Bow Wow's chemistry was on point, and it was a lot of fun."
While working with Bow Wow, JoJo got some tips on transitioning from a music star to a movie star. She has since lined up writers to pen a script specifically for her.
"I wanna make sure it's the right role and the right time. I don't want to do the wrong thing," she said. "[I want] something edgy, something people may not think I can pull off. And I definitely want to work with some acting coaches to make sure I'm completely focused and ready."
In the meantime, JoJo will promote her recent self-titled album with a rather unconventional tour. She's traveling around the United States after the Olympics with the U.S. gymnastics team. JoJo is also working to encourage voting, even though she's too young to vote in the next two presidential elections.
"Voting is a very important way to make your voice heard, and I just think that we need to be more vocal and say what we want instead of complaining to our friends," the singer told a group of reporters after the Teen Choice Awards. "We need to say it on a bigger scale."
I just don't buy JoJo. Look at the lyrics for her song "Leave":
quote:
I've been waiting all day for ya babe
So won't cha come and sit and talk to me
And tell me how we're gonna be together always
Hope you know when it's late at night
I Hold on to my pillow tight
And think of how you promised me forever
(I never thought that anyone)
Could make me feel this way
(Now that you're here boy all I want)
Is just a chance to say
[Chorus]
Get Out, (leave) right now,
It's the end of you and me
It's too late (now) and I can't wait for you to be gone
'Cause I know about her (boo) and I wonder (why) how I bought all the lies
You said that you would treat me right but you was just a waste of time (waste of time)
Tell why you're looking so confused
When I'm the one who didn't know that truth
How could you ever be so cold
To go behind my back and call my friend
Boy you must have gone and bumped your head
Because you left her number on your phone
(So now after all is said and done)
Maybe I'm the one to blame but
(To think that you could be the one)
Well it didn't work out that way
[Chorus]
I wanted you right here with me but I have no choice you've gotta leave
Because my heart is breakin'
With every word I'm say
I gave up everything I had
On something that just wouldn't last
But I refuse to cry
No tears will fall from these
Eyeee-eeee-eeees
Ooooh, ooooh
Get out
[Chorus X3]
You can't possibly believe that a 13 year old knows what's she's talking about when she's singing about kicking her lover out of her house.
And now she's talking about voting? She needs to wait until she's actually lived a little before she starts singing about and talking about tings she has never experienced and knows nothing about.
I think she is singing songs well beyond her age but when she does talk...she always trys to sound like she is way older then she really is....

Yeah.. it seemed weird what she was saying, like she thinks she can do everything now that she's famous. She reminds me of Hilary Duff... trying to do everything.

okay, so i agree with you about the whole "JoJo is a thirteen year old girl who doesn't know a damn thing about love." But voting? I'm 14 and I watch the news, I read the paper, I know what's going on with Kerry and Bush, because I care about what's going on in the country I live in. So, don't make it so generalized that young teens don't know about voting.

Most adults watch the news and THINK they know what's going on with Kerry and Bush and in their country, but they don't. If adults don't really know what's going on, there's no way teenagers do. It's not that long ago I was 14 and I know you think you know what's going on but you don't. Trust me in ten years you'll look back and realise how little you actually do know about life at 14.
Well I kinda agree. I mean.... yes it's good to vote, but how old is jojo? 13? she doesn't have to tell people to vote. she's a kid. it's not the responsibility of a 13 year old singer to tell the adults of America to vote.
if kids don't who will? sure that sounds stupid, but really, there are billions of adults in the US, and only 20 billion voted last time. it's time someone tried to get more people to vote, even if they themselves can't vote.
according to the last census there were millions, but since then, it's probably grown to billions. who knows for sure? and why shouldn't the next generation be able to tell people to vote? maybe it'll be the push the adults need.
