Quentin Tarantino post #1  quote:

After watching Kill Bill, Vol. 1 (which was good, if only for its being cheesy) and Kill Bill, Vol. 2 (excellent, bar none), I had the urge to check out some other Quentin Tarantino films.

After watching Reservoir Dogs today, I wonder what Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown are going to be like, considering that this one, his first one, is great.

I want this post to be opinions about all Tarantino movies. I want reviews, discussions, and the like.

I'm sorry if this was already posted, and might be posted under the wrong category, but I do feel that most of his movies are drama, or should be.

Thanks to all who might reply.

Quentin Rocks!!!!!

Did you hear he's making a prequel to Pulp Fiction? With John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson in it again. That should be awesome!!!!!

Other movies you should see:

Dusk Till Dawn (fabulous )
Four Rooms (not fabulous - but strange none-the-less)
Desperado (not fabulous - just fab)

I think Pulp Fiction is his best.

Let's go with this freak show. It's outrageous.

I had no clue. I will go see it after I rent the first Pulp Fiction.

There are going to be people saying that he is the most overrated director ever, but I don't think that's true. I think that award goes to M. Night Shamaylan (sp?), even though I liked Unbreakable.

The prequel to Pulp Fiction hasn't been made yet. As far as I know it's really only a rumour. They are in "talks" with John Travolta, etc to get it underway.

I like Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction.

Pulp Fiction had some very very rude moments in it, some stuff I don't really want in my head, but overall a very awesome movie.

Kill Bill one was too bloody and twisted, didn't like it.

Kill Bill two was awesome, I loved Uma in that and Carradine. If you get the DVD, it has a deleted scene of Carradine fighting 4 dudes in an alley. VERY cool stuff.

I was mildly upset that he didnt have a bigger fight in the movie with UMA, but he deleted scene made up for it, old kung fu Cain was back in action.

Never saw from dusk till dawn.

You gotta see From Dusk Till Dawn. one his better movies I think.

My theory on Kill Bill is the total opposite to yours. I thought KB 1 was very good and KB2 wasn't bloody and twitsed enough

Kill Bill one was on Encore this last Sat night. I loved the sword fighting in it, in the restaurant, but what a blood pit. All those dude and dudettes down there groaning, bloody and armless and legless,

made my stomach do somersaults.

And Lucy Loo's skull cut scalping, was turning me green.

Awesome sword play though.

I thought From Dusk Till Dawn was a little weak.

If I'm not mistaken, Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez both directed it.

Cheech's 'speech' toward the start was funny though.

Cheech didn't come in until the middle somewhere...

Only Robert Rodriguez directed it, but Tarantino wrote it. I guess Tarantino could've helped out on directing, but I don't think he's credited. (I remember reading he supervised the music or something, but I'm not sure where I got that from... my head makes crap up sometimes).

I like it anyway can understand why people'd reckon it was weak, but it gave my heart a start or two when I first watched it. Not to mention plenty of classic Tarantino dialogue.

True. I suppose it could have just been a lot better.

Seemed like an interesting action drama that threw up a vampire movie.

To be honest, I didn't know it was a vampire movie when I first watch it. Then, like, an hour in, I was like "where the hell did that come from?"
