this movie is nothing more than propaganda that exploits and distorts history to make someone rich. this movie's content is graphically showing a stereotypical version of jesus being nailed to a cross. because of the way it was filmed i can't understand how parents took there children to see it. any parent who allowed there child to see that movie has lost there moral right to keep there children from seeing any movie. did anyone see any blacks in the movie? has anyone read about historians agreeing that jesus has to bne black. How can Black people get any respect if OUR contributions are not included. i'm trying to get in touch with spike because WE have a story to tell.
dude, its a movie. get over it. your just trying to start drama on the board. no offense, but i hope im the only person who replys to this, cuz anyone else that argus with this guy is wasting there time.

Jesus was Jewis, and though he was probably uglier than the Jesus portrayed in the movie, and maybe darker, I doubt he was the black that you're trying to talk about.
Though you're right, people taking their kids to see this movie are out of their minds... they really are. It was violent and ... well, heart-stopping at times. But honestly, yes, it is just a movie. People with no wish to see it, shouldn't.
Simple as that.

Did the jewish community think it was just a movie?
if saying the truth is trying to "start drama", then you are right.
- blah blah blah blah blah, you notice nobody else has replied to this, cuz its a stupid thread! you notice the "jewish" VIMYD didnt want to promote the movie when it was coming out, cuz god forbid if anyone new the truth about those jews, and what they did to JC. next thing you know the movie is a HIT, and next thing you know, all those jewish VIMYD want to promote the dvd for when it comes out, and they want something to do with the movie, all of a sudden. nothing fishy there, and all of a sudden Mel Gibson, being as smart as he is, turns all those jews down, cuz he knows he can make double what he did off theater from dvds, without there help. yeah this is my last reply, so whatever you say after this im afraid wont be seen, so talk to yourself or find a new bub.

gotti i write my threads to bring out the truth and to smear my threads because you disagree is childish. RACISM is in every vocation and it has to be revealed. to stop someone from expressing themselves would defeat the purpose of this website.
THe Passion Of The Christ was very graphic. I rather imagine the actual scene was very graphic. I came away from the movie moved to my very soul and I consider myself something of a religious skeptic. But crucifixion was a fairly common occurence in those days. Have you seen "Saving Private Ryan"? It was very graphic as I'm sure the actual happening was probably even more graphic than that. It's called Life. It's not usually pretty. But the movie was worth while in my opinion. So much better than other "classics" like American Beauty (the worst movie ever made, I think.)

most have agreed on the story of jesus's death. there is no substance behind that. what about the rest of his life? did he do anything else? Mel made a biblical horror film and you all took the bait. the only jesus film not acceptable to the public is a black one. remember the criticism Madonna took for having one in one of her videos?
Yes, very unfortunate that he made visual what it would be more or less like to be whipped by KNIVES Mel Gibson basically told the story of Jesus's suffering for our sins. Though I don't believe this whole story, that's the part that was being expressed in this movie. Perhaps he could have made the movie branch out to the rest of Jesus' life, but then it would've been 20 hours long...

Yea this movie was just all intended to show his suffering for us. I read somewhere that the word passion in greek means suffering. I thought that was quite interesting.
Anyhow I did hear that somone was thinking of doing a sequel to this movie that shows his resurrection to his ascention to heaven. Though that may have just been a rumor....so don't take my word for it.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun always upon your face, and the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Nah, cause if they did a sequel, they'll end up making it into a trilogy and ruin it by either: a) casting Sophia Coppola; b) killing off Neo and Trinity; or c) adding Ewoks.

Can't "The Passion of the Dollar" be said for any profitable endeavor anyone undertakes? Mel Gibson put out a high quality product and deserves to make money from it. I hope it is billions and billions. I think it's well deserved.
How about taking on the drug manufacturers and the insurance industry, and the oil companies? It seems to me they are the ones who are making undeserved profits from the misfortune of their fellow man.
It isn't documented that Jesus was black; just that he was jewish. His mother wasn't black though, was she? If we are referring to where it mentions that The Ancient of Days' (Jesus' or Yeshuah's) hair was like wool, that isn't conclusive at all. Many jews have wooly hair too, but aren't black... My hair isn't exactly WOOLY, and I AM black.
If that's the main beef with the movie, I can understand it, but it's not that heavy because Jesus was a jew, so he more than likely LOOKED like a jew.
