My buddy that showed me the teaser also showed me a little snipet about the story.It was the director talking about the pyramids and how the predators built them for testing teenage preds for the hunt using lots and i mean lots of aliens.He also shows some story boards of them fighting and what not.but i guess the preds come back in our time for somemore hunting,and infesting Egypt with aliens,but this time with humans and big guns.
anyone ever read the old avp comics,the very first ones,they were really ****ing great.
Yeah they do get wasted but I think the opposite will happen in this movie. Because they want you to think the preds are weaker from the comic. Either they win or its a tie. Like in Freddy v.s. Jason. I know the aliens will lose if anything they wont win.
There should be no stalemate! I have all the old collectors toys from when both those movies first started happening, and... I have to tell ya'... the technological differences between the two are pretty noticible. Okay... the predators are into hunting with honor... but they aren't fighting something that has honor.... plus...the preds have those self-destructing bombs strapped to their wrists... so... they should win either way!

Now, if you didn't know anything about AVP you probably would have no clue as to what the heck that trailer is trying to deliver. Too cryptic, they need to show a little more action so you know exactly what you are looking at. And we all know that Alien is usually a dark movie, so there is gonna be a lot of squinting until the fire fighting happens.

Okay, I'm biased towards the Predators, it's true!!! They should win!!! They have the style, the weapons and hunting skills. The Aliens have numbers and are extremely violent... but I am rooting for the preds all the way!

Never heard of it in the comics. I have quite a few of them and never saw anything about this. Maybe something I’m missing? I highly doubt it though. Its never been mentioned in the movies and hopefully the director doesn’t start to put the whole comic aspect into the movie because when that happens it makes movies suck. Comics are for kids to read and don’t have that good of a plot compared to movies. Just my 2 cents
The Predators use Earth for their rituals and every 1000 years, they drop five teenage predators off at a pyramid and they have to fight for their survival. If they survive the battle against the aliens, they become men. The film is set in the present time at the beginning of the 21st century and a group of scientists and archaeologists travel to Antarctica and discover ancient pyramid ruins. These ruins are deep under the ice surface which were built by the Predators and were formed much earlier than the pyramid ruins in Egypt. When the group reaches one of the pyramids in Antarctica, they discover human skeletons and the fossilized remains of Facehuggers and Chestbursters. They also find out that these aliens might be still alive somewhere in the pyramid ruins but unknown to them, there's also another species of alien exploring there - the Predators.
In fact, the pyramid is sort of a prison for Aliens with the Queen at the centre of it. He said that the Predators have technology to keep the Queen under control (only two accidents in 5000 years). I asked him if there will be a PredAlien, but not all the Aliens come from human hosts (It’s written in the religion of the Predators that the Aliens should come out of human hosts).
The pyramid isn’t a ruin and is always in activity (since the millennia). The Predators have visited there in prehistory and its one of their holy places so that the Aliens cannot leave. The Predators have never abandoned their visit to our planet – they are much more discreet about it since the first incident in Mexico 5000 years ago.
