Sorry I maybe should have explained. AIS stands for the Australian Institute of Sport, it is a government backed organization that takes youngsters who are gifted in sports and trains them to be the best in their chosen field, the AIS also offers medical and physiological training to sportsmen and women who need it, they also try to promote Australian sport and work to get talented youngsters professional contracts. Players who have been through the AIS normally excel in the sport they play.
Footballers such as Harry Redknapp, Craig Moore, Mark Viduka ( I think) have all come through the AIS, 90% of the Australian Olympic team also did, along with various cricketers, rugby players etc.
If you want to know the affect AIS has had on Ozzy sport just ask yourself as a country is Australia good at sports or bad?
