The Goblet of Fire, Chapter 1 Summary The Riddle House
*The book begins in the village of Little Hangleton at the Riddle House. The Riddles were a very rich Muggle Family who were mysteriously murdered 50 years ago. Tom Riddle had been a rich, snobbish muggle. The caretaker, Frank, was suspected in the murders, but they could not prove it. He stayed on to look after the manor after the death of the owners. He claimed that a young dark haird boy had been near the manor on the day of the deaths.
Frank sees lights coming from the house and goes up to investigate. He hears Wormtail and Voldemort plotting to kill Harry. Nagini is loose in the house and informs Voldemort that an elderly muggle is listening to their plans. Voldemort still does not have a body, but he kills Frank. Interesting thing is that Wormtail tried to get away from Voldemort to find another person to kill instead of Harry. Voldemort would have died without his help. Voldemort knows that Wormtail finds him repulsive and stays out of fear not love
