What about the 90's? post #1  quote:

I just noticed that all the threads here are about the 80's and I was too young to really remember anything about the 80's really well so I thought I would start a thread about the 90's.

What did you love about the nineties?

The 90's were just not that long ago. When I start seeing these 90's retrospectives on the tube I feel old. I was only born in the late 70's, dangit.

Oh well.

Lets see what I remeber about the 90's. Well there was the whole cool Brittania thing, and the battle of the bands ( Oasis V Blur) but I don't know if you have ever heard of thid in the US. The 90s was when the internet really kicked off, Video games started to get good. Also Rangers notched up 9 league titles in a row ( agaqin you wont know what I'm talking about but it was a huge achievement) And then there was the whole sort of 90s language which devolped which was toatlly awseome dude.

yeah, I remember back in 99, they thought the world was gonna end. We stored water and dried beans and got denatured alcohol to burn in our lamps.

They called it the y2k. We was all bugged eyed for it. Nothing much came of it, but we had some extra batteries for a couple of years.

Damon was only a baby then, so I stocked up on baby food and formula.

We had one guy look me and Sandy in the eye and tell us that the chips in the water pipes were gonna go. And the power grid.

He was very very intense about the whole thing. No water, no food, were all gonna die if we don't prepare.

I told him that we have had water pipes since before 1900, why would a computer chip in a water pipe shut it down.

He had all this techno bable. So we saved about 2 weeks worth of water and some mac and cheese.

What fools we were.

My favorite song of the 90's was listed up above. Creep by Radio Head.
