Best and Worst parts of Narnia post #1  quote:

Ok, i just had to open this, honestly my favorite part of narnia are all the talking animals. I dno if thats weird or not but I wish they could talk in this world too. I also love how there is a distinct difference between the sizes and even shapes of the talking ones and later on the non talking ones.

Yes, he did come back. The whole story parallels Christianity. He came back, just like Jesus.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was the first in the series that I read and probably my earliest experience of modern fantasy. I must have been about eight when I read it. What I think was one of the best things about it was the inclusion of accompanying illustrations (at least in the copies I've read anyway.) They make the story accessible for a much younger age group. C.S. Lewis led me on to authors like Brian Jacques, Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, Tolkien and J.K. Rowling. I definitely owe the guy a beer.

Hi guys- I just read "Silver Chair" and I loved it! I'm definitely going to read the other parts too. I always thought these books are the same as "Alice in the Wonderland" which is not really my favorite book but the Chronicles of Narnia are so much better!
I wonder if the books are publicly accessible via internet as the "Silver Chair" was the only one available in my library. Well, anyhow - it's a great read.
