Clay you can make this song yours a like no other can . in the beginning the uniques did it. I believe it had a motown label then. Personally it is my all time favorite song in the world, it brings more tears and emotions than "the star spangeled banner" and "the Lord is My Shephard" which are my other 2 favorites.
I can see Clay singing and acting out the motions to this song to play the audience and the young and old ladies alike are going to go ape wild over this american hunk and Simon is going to just have to try to find the NAACP someone in the american idol 3 because clearly Clay is THE MOST TALENTED one in this group.
So they may as well quit clammering and let the poor child have his due without all this adversary because he clearly deserves it.
A white guy won idol in europe then Kelly clarkson won the first one here in the states clearly she's still white. so I am sure that NAACP is about ready to put some real heavy class action on somebody high up if they don't pull some strings and get the great white competitors to drop out.
Thats why I feel Simon has been so rude to Clay Aiken, kimberly Cawdwell, And Josh the Marine. Notice He is not nasty to his wildcard pick carmen and shes white. But she is the only one. So Clearly this time around they need a black idol to balance out the skeem of things and get the naacp happy.
I think Simon is trying to break their will discourage them so they will maybe have bad performances. Personally I don't think that is possible because everything that has come out of Clays mouth for example so far has been flauless. Right on!!!!!!!! Almost a miracle. And may I add Amazing!!
CLay Joe Stamply also did a rendition of this song but the uniques version was truly asong not soon forgotten. Go with it baby oh at the end in a half whisper make that really sexy.
Don't let any one discourage you ...you are the bomb!!!!!!!!!!! every one on my block love you WE have digussed you preforming this song , and all of us agree it is your song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
