Cartoon Network will be airing the cartoon versions from the 70s. These are the dates that I got from CartoonNetwork's site. I guess they could change...
The Hobbit--May 16
Lord of the Rings--May 23
Return of the King--May30
Really? I have to watch them then. I have seen a cartoon version of the hobbit before and that was quite good so I watch those on Cartoon network and see how good they are. Thank for the info.
I've seen them before, and i liked it. Thid id the same "The Hobbit" that you remember, White Tiger. And the other two movies are made by the same people, and use the same style of drawing.e
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who know binary... and those who don't.
I've seen the cartoon version of the Hobbit...it cracked me up it was so stupid. Ugh...only really good cartoonists could do it justice imo, and whoever did the animated version wasn't to terribly good. It all looks to cheap and comical. Which I don't think it should. oh well.
Love is a very powerful force, especially when its formed into a coherent beam of death.
Okay, just watched it...lame, but not as bad as I was expecting. Here are some observations...
*Bilbo had weird hair
*The goblins looked silly
*The Woodelves looked like Martians
*The Elf king sounded like The Terminator
*Smaug looked like a saber toothed tiger with a long neck and wings.
*Gollum looked like swamp thing
*Elrond was kind of scary looking, definitely scarier than the trolls or goblins
*The music was really cheesy
*Biggest disappointment-No Beorn
Its probably an american thing because I didn't see it either.
If it the one I think it is Smaug looks like a cross between a dog and a parrot (if memory serves), Thranduil sounds like hes from the netherlands and looks like an alien and Elrond is a bit too high and mighty.
Misty, you didn't miss much...it's on Cartoon Network...does your cable company offer that station? Lord of the Rings is on next Sunday at 7 and Return of the King the Sunday after that at 7.
