ok, nobody wants to hear the same pop voices coming out of the competition over and over again right? we as people love origianilty, and we love a unique voice. so which finalist if the most unique?
the most unique is definitely Jasmine..she is from hawaii..but she sings soulful r and b....and she does it very well..unlike her fellow native...i love her voice..she said she has trouble singing other styles ...especially when she had to do the country thing....
im ki nd of thinking that none of the finalists are really original.... none of them seem to stand out... i dont really see any of them having really truly original voices.
well..i can say..i have never heard anyonen sing as dry as john stevens..i guess that is unique and different..not a good unique..but yet and still unlike any other. i wish someone would pinch him before he sings so maybe he would wake up before he "performs" if you want to call it that....lol...
hahaha i totally agree, i practically fall asleep during his performances. people say they like him because he is differnt. he only seems differnt because hes in a POP contest. hes not differnt at all, he sounds like all the other sinatra wanabees and when america realizes that, then he will finally be gone.
Most original, before she got the boot, was the one and only Camile Velasco. All the others had the same belter-capacity voices and "falta attention" personalities. In contrast, Camile was camera-shy, definitely a unique trait in a competition as dog-eat-dog as AI. She wasn't aware of her beauty too, very low-key. Unliek the others, who always look as if they're advertising toothpaste because they crack such wide smiles. Ugh!
I miss you Camile. My heart goes out to you girl...Keep the flame burning, and nurture your talent.....
camile was probably the most original out of all of the finalists. she had a differnt kind of tone to her voice that no finalists, throughout all 3 seasons of american idol had. she was quiet and softspoken, and wasnt always trying to get the camera on her like some of the others. people confused her shyness for attitude which is ridiculous to me. now that camile is off the show, she has better things coming for her. she'll be moving out to california and start recording music that is more her style. she has already written 3 full songs and has music to go with them also. good luck camile!!!

Hi! I know, and its obvious from your postings, that you're also a Camile V. follower/fanatic/supporter... and thanks for that. You seem to be very updated with the latest news and information which Camile has been doing.. How'd you do it? And are u a member of this other Camile-devoted forum canmed http://camile-velasco.org?
What is the definitive member forum to subscribe to that gives accurate information on Camile, her latest career moves, etcetera? Thanks ahead
I want you to know about 5 people from ym language class here in Makati are totally gaga over Camile & Jasmine, they make us proud to be Filipinos...And it hurts to think she has gone the route of the yellow brick road...shucks!
i know it was sad to see her go, but i actually think it might be for the best... it was obvious that camile isnt as comfortable performing pop songs, so she'll probably be going back to her hip-hop style. it has just been announced on the hawaii news that she has been offered a record deal from singer babyface. good job camile!
Well...if I really look at it...I would say none of them have a uniqueness to them....they all pretty much sound like someone else....which makes them un-unique...
Fantasia has been compared to Macy Gray, JS to Frank Sinatra.
Been there, done that.
Honestly...as much as Camille sounded pretty bad...I think I really enjoyed her "tone." It was a low voice and for the right music I think she could do well.....so with that said...maybe she was a tad bit more unique....
She wasnt my favorite....but Im assuming that my favorite has nothing to do with who I think was/is most unique.
Of course thats just my opinion....I could be wrong. (Dennis Miller)

what was the song that Camile sang when they were trying to get into the top 12.. She was Awesome then.. does n e one know where i can get that on audio?
I wish for you on a fallin' star, wonderin' where you are,do I ever cross your mind,In the warm sunshine,he's from American Idol, like Ruben, Kelly, and Simon Cowell, never know what he means to me. I think i fell for Clay on TV!
One Of Clay's fanmily girls at ......proud of it too!!! *August 31*September 10*
I am fairly sure that Camille will have many offers for contracts but i just hope that she takes the best one and not rush into anything. I think that she is an amazing prospect because not only does she sing so well - i wont say unique cos i think she sings a little like Lauryn Hill who i really love - but she can also play the piano ... kinda like Alica Keys actually! She could do really really well with the right backing.
John Stevens is unique in the fact that no one his age would want to sing the kind of songs that he loves.
Fantasia does have a Macy Gray/Aretha thing going which is really good when she picks the right song (i too thought that her Elton rendition was her poorest so far).
George has this husky voice which is very unique in itself and will no doubt lead him to great things ... he just seems to get stronger and stronger each week.
you couldnt say that Latoya, Jasmine, or Diana are unique.
JPL is different but much of that was to do with his personality and quirkiness which has strangely enough been missing from his last couple of performances - he seems to have lost his spark...
Jennifer has a power house of a voice and has a personality to match but its like a gospel singer .. not really unique.
